"Better. I'm just tired." Nandini replied.
"You can stay in this room. Its Mukthi's room." Cabir said.
"I wanted to ask you guys something... when you er...found me, did you guys get something of mine??..." Nandini asked, looking here and there.
"Yeah... We found this bag." Navya said handing her the bag.
Nandini took the bag from her hand and looked inside frowning.
"Oh and Nandini.... Some Gulabi Masi called." Navya said.
"And we said that you would call her back. She seemed worried. Do call her." Alya said, concerned.
"Thank you... I certainly will." Nandini said.
Nandini started walking slowly holding the wall for support.
Manik came infront of her and she said, "I can walk."
She moved two steps and staggered. Her breath became heavy and her vision blurred.
Manik panicked and without second thoughts, picked her up in bridal style.
"Sure you can." Manik glared at her and she held on to him with her hand around his neck.
Their friends stood and admired their bond.
"Cabir... I think Manik found- Navya said but was cut off by Cabir.
"His Angel" Cabir said with a satisfied smile spreading across his face.

"What is it with you and carrying me?" Nandini asked, retaining her angry pout.
"What is it with you and not listening to me?" Manik said returning the glare.
Manik carefully placed her on the bed.
"Rest." He said.
"Yeah.... Why do you keep ordering me around?" Nandini asked.
"Because.....

"Because..???" Nandini asked, raising her eyebrows.

"Because.... I care."

That comment left Nandini dumbstruck.
Nandini after having slept for a while got up to go to the washroom. But as soon as she got up, she felt weak.... Suddenly a pair of hands gripped her shoulders and helped her.
She turned a bit to see....Alya.
"Thank you" She said and went to the bathroom.

"You should be careful. Those stitches can break." Alya said as her eyes welled up with tears. She helped Nandini lie back on the bed.
"Nandini....I have something of yours..." Alya said with her face streaming down with tears.
Alya took a pendent and held it in front of Nandini. Nandini's lips curved into a beautiful smile and her eyes glistened with tears.
