I built my relationship standards around you but he came along and knocked them all down.
I wanted you;
The jokes we shared,
The shared interests,
The phone calls just to hear each other's voice,
Being able to cent to each other and just understand one another.
But she came along;
Not being any of those things,
Face timing ,or talking on the cell.
She preferred in person .
We didn't shared inside jokes;
Our humor was different.
We were quite different
She never understood my sadness,
But comforts me in either way
She says the wrong things a lot but she tries.
Which is more than you ever did.
She tries to comfort me
You usually ignored me
We had the inside jokes,
But she had laughter
You heard my soft voice,
But she heard my thumping heartbeats.
You got pictures of your own use,
Age got my body to cherish.
You got the memories,
She got the real thing.
I always wanted you.
I never thought I would stop.
But now, I'm seeing someone in front of me who wants me.
It hurts that it wasn't you,
But I made a best memory in a shirt time,
Who is nothing like you.
But she's still good enough at least for me!!!!
