After I stopped crying from the memory, I got up and went downstairs for dinner with mom. Dad was at work. I sat there in silence as I ate and then left for my room until mom stopped me.

"Roxie?" she asked in a honey voice.

"Yes?" I asked as I turned around.

"I was talking to your father before he left for work to tell you that you’re not grounded anymore." she said.

"Okay mom. Thanks." I said as I walked up the stairs and changed into my running clothes. When I was downstairs, I opened the door, just in time as some unbelievably good looking teenage hotties (that were twins!) were about to knock. "Hey!" I say as I closed the door behind me and talked to them. When there sent hit me, I knew what they were...Half vampires. And a full vampire in their car. "What's going on?" I asked.

"Hey, my name is Kyle and my brother’s name here is Myles. We're half vampires like yourself. As you can see. We came here to maybe get you to drop whatever your doing and hang with us." Kyle said in a flirtatious smile.

I looked at Myles and he was grinning like a fool and punched his brother in the arm. Players. "Well, sorry no. I'd rather be dead then with you two." I lied. They are oh so yummy. But I wanted to lead them on.

That stopped them. "You say what now?!" they both said.

"You heard me. Now scram!" I say and walk up to the woods. But a laugh from behind stopped me.

The full vampire.

A woman.

"Great job on making them feel self conscious Young girl. I haven’t seen any one do that in a long time!" she said with a smile.

"And you are?" I asked.

"I am Head Master Furtrado. From the VMA's. No, not Video Music Awards. Just Vampire Musical Academy. I wanted to see if you were interested in going to our school. You are talent young girl." She said.

"How do you know?" I asked as I stepped forward.

"I saw you perform in the bar yesterday night. You can sing. We just need your parents approval. And of course, yours. What do you say?" she asked.

"Well, I’m in." I say as I found my way out of Jake's life. "But," I said abruptly. "You cannot tell my mom I was in a bar singing. Mostly, It's a bar. Second, I was grounded."

"Deal." She said.

I walked her and the grumpy twins inside my house and called my mom.

"Yes?" she said as she stopped dead in her tracks at the sight of Head Master Furtrado.

"Layla?" mom asked.

"Rebecca? This is your daughter?" Furtrado asked.

"Do they know each other?" I asked the boys. They just shrugged and then huffed again. Big ego's.

"Mom, you know Head Master Furtrado?" I asked.

"Yeas. As a matter of fact I do." She said.

"How?" I asked.

"She was my baby sitter when I was 5."

"What now?" Me, Kyle and Myles asked at the same time.

"Yes. Baby Rebecca. You've grown!" Furtrado said with glee.

"And your old!" mom said as she laughed and hugged Furtado. "What brings you hear?" mom asked as she sat in the living room with her ex- babysitter and I was stuck giving the boys a tour. I hoped Furtrado didn't give me away. Then I'd be dead. So I left mom and Furtrado to speak and catch up as I gave the twins a tour of my house. When we reached my room, they froze.
