Geez...I must be really into writing sad stuff today.

A Sea Storm

Whoosh goes the wind

Across the waves

Your boat on the water

Is naught to save.

The fish and the sharks beneath the sea

Are circling round,

They are ravenous, hungry.

The lightening has flashed,

The thunder has boomed,

They know they will send you

To your doom.

The rain pours down upon your head,

You wish you were in your nice warm bed.

A wave reaches up, tries to touch the sky,

Then crashes back down with a mournful sigh.

Your cause is lost,

Your life is gone,

Your earth-bound flesh

Is no longer you.

You lost your life doing what you love--

Was it worth it?
