I woke up the next morning cold, at first I thought it was because Niall woke up early, but then I remembered he left yesterday. The tears began brimming in my eyes. A tear slipped out of my left eye and down my cheek when my phone started ringing.

I looked at the caller ID and it was Maura.

"Hey!" I said while sniffling in, and trying hard not letting Maura know that I was crying. "Hey." She said, less excited than me. Maybe she was upset about Lou not being there.

"You okay?" I asked her, and after about a minute of silence she answered. "Maura?" I asked. "Y-yeah. I'm." She sighed. "Can I come over?" She asked me.

"Of course, Maur. What's wrong?" I asked her again. "I'll explain when I get there. And tell Nikki to come too." She said, then hung up with a beep.

"Well I guess it's time for me to get dressed." I mumbled to myself as I hopped out of bed.

As soon as I was done getting a shower and getting dressed and all that jazz, I decided to text Nikki.

To: Bagel Jesus (Nikki)

Hey, Nik. Maura called me and wanted you to come over. She wanted to talk about something. Do you know anything?

I got up, and got a slice of pizza that was left over from last night. I walked back into the living room and turned on the TV. The channel was already set to Nickelodeon, and SpongeBob was on. Before I had a chance to pick up the remote and change the channel, Nikki text back.

From: Bagel Jesus (Nikki)

Sorry, Jan. But I don't know anything. I'll be over ASAP. Actually, I am here. Open up.

I walked over to the door and laughed as Nikki came in while doing a cartwheel.

"Nik, what the hell?" I asked her. She jut laughed. "I took gymnastics since I was three up until I was seventeen. She said.

We both laughed then sat down.

About ten minutes later Nikki got a text from Maura saying that she was hear. And to be prepared for the bad news.
