Bionic Friends

The Runaway Part 1

Chase's POV
I woke up with a killer headache. Where am I? Wait, Abby! Where is she? Where is everyone else?

"Abby!! Come back here!!" Said Leo

Wait what?

I rushed on over to where I heard the shouting and I saw the rest of the family looking out the window. I met their gaze and I saw an eagle soaring through the sky. I thought they were just bird watching but I noticed Abby gone so I only thought of the worst...

"What happened? Why is Abby flying away?" I said. Bree looked at me with shock, probably because I had just woken up from my slumber from I don't even know how long. I then noticed the pice of paper crumbled up and on the ground.

I walked over and grabbed it and I read it, I wish I haven't. It was a note from Abby and she wrote how Mr Davenport wanted her to leave and the new abilities she has unlocked for us.

"Guys, look at this!" I showed them the note and they all looked sad, especially Leo.

"What exactly happened while I was out?"

"Well....Mr Davenport didn't want Abby to hurt us anymore-"

"And I called her a monster for hurting me...and you two, but mostly me!"

"And she did this because I wanted a pony! Or because I wanted a monster truck. Or-"

"The point is," Mr Davenport said," We messed up. Chase did you see anything unusual about Abby before she knocked you out?"

"I saw something weird with her eyes, they were green and pixilated."

Abby'sPOV

I have no idea if they would miss me or not...who am I kidding of course they would! I know the scenario before. Family runs away, family finds missing family member, try to bring family member back, family member is loved again by family.

But this is not a movie you see, this is real. They will find me but I will still run. Luckily I took Leo's wallet to buy needed resources...and by needed resources I mean fun stuff. And by wallet I mean ten bucks. Man he really needs a job.

I don't know how long I have been flying for but for me it was long enough to find a  spot to rest. I went down to the forest and changed into a wolf so I wouldn't blow my cover, I'm not Adam!

It took me a while to find a small park near the forest. It looked pretty decent. A small playground for the kids to play with, the occasional dog owners walking and playing with their dogs, a small bird bath that was visited often by birds that kept on being scared away by a kid, Perfect.

I was about to walk in but I realized two things. One I am still a wolf, two Adam, Bree, Chase and Leo walked in. Oh come on!!
I shifted into a bird and landed at a bench near them to listen. You may call it eavesdropping but I call it listening to something private.

"Okay I tracked her GPS signal here. She has to be in this park somewhere." Said Chase

"Wait she could be shifted into something! How will we know if she isn't shifted into a dog?" Said Leo

Adam came up to me and I backed away and he said,"Abby!!! Abby!!! Is that you?!!!?" I flew away after that so I looked like a normal bird.

"Adam why would she be a bird right next to us? She obviously doesn't want to come back." Said Bree

Okay she had a good point. Besides the fact that I was eavesdropping I didn't have a reason to be by them. I tricked Adam but Chase kept on eyeing me. Great maybe he is scanning me! Abby calm down, there is no way-

"Wait Adam, you might be on to something." Chase walked up to me and I pretended to look somewhere else."This bird didn't fly away right when Adam came up to him. Birds always fly away when people are close to them!"

I stand corrected. Okay so my cover was blown, big deal. I'll just fly away and they will forget me right? Wrong!! I took the chance to fly away and I looked behind me to see my family looking up at me but I flew faster and I was in a cloud that was luckily close to the ground so I shifted into an eagle and flew way....again

This was going to be way harder with my GPS signal on. And I couldn't just turn it off because...well...I can't reach my bionic chip and see it and turn it off without any tools so I just had to face the fact and- Wait a minute how exactly did Chase know I wasn't a real bird?!!? I mean all Adam did was yell my name and get stares from people looking at him.

Oh well, I guess I will be facing this problem on my own.
