Two weeks had passed and Lydia and I had spoken about everything again. Today would be our first date. The only problem that I had was that I now didn't have a best friend to help me pick out an outfit, but I just asked Katelyn instead.

So now I was wearing a beige dress, slightly shorter than my knees, showing no cleavage at all and without sleeves, a little part cut out around the stomach and I paired it with some black pumps and my hair was in a French braid. Also I had a black clutch. Now I was waiting in the living room. Lydia wanted to pick me up and we wanted to go to a restaurant. "You're going on a date?" My mom asked. I tried to keep calm. Nothing would ruin this date. "Yeah." I simply said. "Do I know him, er, her I mean." I thought about what to say. "Maybe." I said shrugging. My mom opened her mouth again to say something, but was cut off by the ringing of my phone. Lydia had texted me that she was outside. "Look, mom, I gotta go." I said, ready to leave. "Wait a second. I want to talk to you about this whole...thing. I was maybe a little...harsh at first." She said. "Glad you admit it, but I really gotta go now." And with that I walked away, leaving the house and getting into Lydias car.

"Nice outfit choice." She said grinning. "Thanks, Katelyn helped me." I said, blushing slightly. "A little more cleavage wouldn't have hurt, but I guess it's okay." She said, pulling backwards onto the road. I looked at her outfit. She was wearing a purple dress, not even reaching her knees, really slim fitted and with a whole lot of cleavage showing. Also she wore black pumps and a black clutch just like I did. Her hair war up in a high and elegant bun, which looked really good on her.
"Like what you see?" Lydia asked smirking. "Oh, well, I can't complain." I said and we both laughed. "Sooo...what kind of restaurant are we going to?" I asked anxiously, afraid I might not be able to pay for it. Lydia seemed to read my mind. "Don't worry, I'll pay for it." She said smiling. "No...I mean....are you sure?" I asked. "Yes. Next time you can pay, if you want to." She said. "But today I'll treat you."

We arrived at the restaurant about fifteen minutes later. Lydia had reserved a table, so that we didn't need to worry about that. To be honest the restaurant looked really expensive, but when I looked on the menu I saw that it wasn't too expensive, still manageable I dare say. I chose pasta with tomato sauce, I know really cliche. Lydia chose some fried salmon in dill sauce with fried potatos and peas.

The food was extremely delicious. We sat there eating and talking for what felt like forever and to be honest, it was the most perfect date I've ever been on. Actually it was the first proper date I've ever been on, as well, but the fact that it was with Lydia and here at this restaurant made it perfect. After Lydia paid we went back outside. "Wanna go for a walk in the park?" Lydia suggested. "Sure, sounds nice." I said smiling at her.

We drove to the park and walked around for some time. The moon was shining by now and I could see the stars glistening above us, the air was getting a little chill by now, but it was still nice. "This was a really great date." I said after a while. "I'm glad you say so." Lydia said smiling. She stopped walking and looked at me. "Thanks for paying for me, though." I said, also stopping and looking Lydia in the eyes. "Could you please forget about that?" Lydia asked laughing. "Ok, sorry." I said, also laughing. "It was really delicious." I added. "Yeah, I thought so, too. Maybe we should go there sometime again." She suggested. "I would love that." I said.
Lydia continued to look at me and took a step forward, so that we were really close to each other. "What?" I asked smiling, as she continued to just look at me. "I was just wondering whether it'd be okay for you if I'd kiss you now." Lydia stated, slightly smiling back at me. "Sure..." I said, my heart pounding in my chest. Lydia gave me another smile and then her face was getting closer and closer to my own and soon her soft lips were settling on mine. I closed my eyes, enjoying the taste of her lips thoroughly as I was kissing her back. I've been dreaming for this moment for so long and finally it was real.

After a while we pulled apart again, smiling at each other. "I'd say it was a great first date." Lydia said. I just nodded, grinning. Lydia drove me back home and suddenly I felt the tiredness overtake my body again. I got ready for bed and fell asleep, thinking about Lydia the whole time.
