AGATHA'S POV
"I really wish Sophie came with us." I commented to Tedros, trying to cut through the awkwardness going on between us. This is why I had needed Sophie's bubbly, talkative personality to help us overcome this 5 hour carriage ride, especially since there was no room in the carriage. And considering that I was so close to Tedros that I could smell his sweat, I knew that this was not going to be a comfortable ride. I shuddered and tried not to think of it.
"Me too. She could've helped you pick out better clothes." Tedros commented, giving my outfit a scan. I scowled defensively, looking down at my black rags. I probably did look hideous, but who would look good after a fight to end all evil? And not to mention almost getting killed. He seriously needed to cut me some slack, considering he looked like a blond doll that just when through a paper shredder the wrong way.
"Well, I'm sorry. I was just busy saving the world! Don't mind me!" I muttered under my breath.
"Are you saying that I didn't?" He asked crabbily.
"Well, just warning you that if you want me to wear a dress, your going to have to tie me to it, cause I never signed up to wear scratchy clothes." I commented grouchily.
"Sure, because you see princesses everywhere wearing hideous black rags and giant black clumps for shoes." Tedros responded sarcastically, as I shot a glare.
"Well, little Mr. Perfect, your not looking to good yourse--" I started, and we bickered for about an hour, before getting cut off by Tedros's lovely mother, Guinevere, who looked at us crossly.
"Be quiet! You both look awful! Move on!" Guinevere said, probably bothered by our loud fighting.
"Well, I'm not going to the Winter Ball with her in rags, so she better clean up! Or she can go with Hort!" Tedros roared.
"Clean up?! Oh, really? And who would you go with? Your mummy?" I sneered, as Tedros turned pink.
"Sophie would understand! I'll go with her then!!" He exclaimed, both of our voices raising higher and higher.
"In that case, maybe I should wear my pajamas!" I yelled, cross with him. With that, we ignored each other for the rest of the ride. I raised my head high, refusing to give an apology. I really thought that this fight might go on, until I heard a small peep.
" Aggie, I'm sorry." Tedros said, looking into my eyes. I tried to look angry, but failed. I looked at him and smiled a genuine smile.
"It's ok. I have to "clean up" for the dance anyway." I sighed. It wasn't easy loving Tedros. I heard the whispers. Why was Tedros, the handsome beautiful prince, doing with that little bug? What was her name? Oh right. Agatha. Maybe it was time to change my image. After all, I had been beautiful all along, I thought as I smiled.
"Coronations tomorrow. Rest up." He said, kissing my forehead.
"Goodnight." I said, passing out on his shoulder. It had been a long day, and not to mention the makeover would probably take 5 hours alone....
