My hands shook as I walked up to the podium. Hundreds of citizens from Camelot were standing at the bottom, staring at every move I made with their bug eyes. I grabbed the microphone, tapping it with my fingers, making sure that it worked. Stop stalling, I thought. Even so, I looked back at Tedros, hoping to find something soothing about him. He nodded at me, giving me a thumbs up. You can do this, he mouthed. Right. I can do this right? I mean I just saved the world. How hard can this be? I looked back at the crowd and got my answer. It was very hard. I grabbed my speech from my pocket and coughed before talking. Or... whatever I was doing.
"Uh... hello, citizens of Camelot." My voice was shaky, and way to quiet.
"It's been about one day since I arrived at Camelot, and I'm aware that's not a lot of time. At all. I mean, seriously, how can I be the princess of a country that I don't even know about? It's a hierarchy, totally ridiculous and--" One look at Tedros, and I realized I wasn't helping. I took a deep breath and tried not to list my flaws of why I shouldn't be a princess.
"But... that's not the point. I'm here today, because two years ago, when I first opened my eyes to Tedros... my life opened up. Wow, that came out cheesy, but um, ever since then, he's told me countless stories about this magical place, and I would give everything to be a part of this new revolution for it. I... I-I hope that you would accept me for who I am know. Thank you." I walked off the stage, my footsteps making a click with every step. It took e a couple seconds to realize no one was clapping, and I felt my face turn even paler. Did I seriously just manage to disappoint every citizen in Camelot?
