This was it, you could finally see the ground after that long, endless fall. You closed your eyes and awaited the ground to crush every part of your bones. To finally put an end to your miserable life.

hOI!

There it was. The sound of your cracking—wait, what?

You shot your eyes open only to see the most weirdest yet adorable sight you have ever encountered.

A pile of . . . cat? Goat? Something like creature piled up underneath you, saving you from your drastic fall. A small, cheery smile spread across your lips as the creatures struggled underneath you. All chanting the same words.

hOI! hOI! hOI!

You jumped off of the creatures and smiled at them tenderly, "Hello!" You greeted in such a cheerful manner, "hOI!! i Am tEM! aR u hOOMAN?!" the creature, Tem, asked. You placed a finger under your lip in a form of someone thinking.

"Hmm," you muttered, "Last time I checked, I was." You smiled at the Tem's. Making them all chant the same hOI's. You giggled at such an adorable act, seeing these unknown creatures had pushed away all your thoughts earlier until the Tems pushed you even further into the place.

Once you did, a different looking Tem was at the middle of the room and all the other Tems was gone, you smiled at the Tem and neared the creature slowly, "hOI???!!!! aR u hOOMAN?! i aM tEMMIE!! tEMMIE lAYKZ hOOMANZ!" you giggled then knelt in front of the creature, "Human likes Temmie too."

The Temmie soon stopped as it stared at you curiously, "hOI!" it exclaimed, "hOOMAN, u aR nAHT fROM aRAUND hIR, aR u?!" The Temmie smiled and you nodded, "hOI!!! lET tEMMIE hALP dA hOOMAN!!!!" You giggled at the energetic creature, "Okay."

"hIR tEMMIE gOS!" suddenly, you found yourself in a dark place where your form was in a shape of a heart. A f/c heart.

"dIS iZ hOOMAN zOUL! dIS iZ hOOMAN lAYF sORS." The Temmie explained and as much to your surprise, you understood every word he said, you noticed something rather odd and underneath you were a few letters. HP, LV and EXP. The Temmie seemed to have noticed where you were looking and carried on in its explanation.

"LV iZ wAT mAKS hOOMAN sTRONGAH! iT iZ bETER dAN tEM fLAKES!" The creature vibrated, "What's LV?" You asked the Temmie, "wATS LV? wAI, lUHV oF kORS!" The Temmie exclaimed with a cheery laugh, making you giggle at his actions as he continued to vibrate, "lUHV iZ zHARD tHRU dIZ. . . ." he trailed off as a couple of white oval shaped object hovered above this, "white corn flakes thingy?" You answered for him to which he smiled widely, "hOI!!! wHAYT cORN fLAKES tHINGY!! hOOMAN! gET aZ mEHNY aZ u cAN!"

You nodded and positioned yourself, ready to tackle, and you did once it started moving. But as much to your dismay, you saw your HP dropped to 1 and your SOUL quickly fell to the ground.
Slowly, you were back to your former state, you raised your chin and saw that the Tem had changed appearance. Its once adorable feature turned into a nightmare. Into a horrid, unbelievable nightmare. It was giving you such a malicious smile.

"u iDIOT." It spoke, its voice deep and frightening, "hU wUD mIZ aN oPURTUNITI lAYK dIZ?" It grinned a devilish grin, "iN dIZ wORLD iT'Z kIL oR bE kILD." This was it. This was the moment you've been waiting for. This was the reason why you were down here in the first place, right?

But now that it was coming to an end, why do you seem fazed by it? Why were you suddenly depressed that it had to end this way? Were you suddenly regretting the idea of it?

You closed your eyes as the death corn flakes returned. Surrounding you as it inches closer and closer. Until . . . something miraculous happened. Something that you thought only happens in movies. You were the damsel in distress and someone was kind enough to protect you.

Your HP was back to its normal number, your eyes darted towards the Temmie who was looking at you in dismay and utter shock. Then, he was suddenly out of your sight when a fireball came intact with the Temmie, sending it away.

Then, stood infront of you was a huge, gigantic creature dressed in a . . . long . . . night gown? You didn't know. You were too terrified. You started backing away from the creature, shivering through the process.

"P-Please don't hurt me! I-I promise I-I'd leave! J-Just please leave me alone!" You exclaimed and the creature seemed to be hurt by what you said, "Do not be afraid, child. I am here to help you. Besides, there is no other way out of the RUINS. And surely, humans do not have wings to fly themselves back up. If they have then you wouldn't have been the 8th human who fell down here." The creature chuckled, sending a warm feeling inside of you.

Your lips quivered, forming a small cheery smile as you laughed along, "So, I'm not the first human who came down here?" You asked and the creature nodded, holding out a hand and helping you up, "I am Asgore. Caretaker of the RUINS." the creature smiled at you tenderly to which you returned in a form of a cheery gesture, "I'm Y/n."
