You watched as the sparkle in the creature's eyes vanished as quick as you threw the question at him. Gently, he pushed you off of him and quickly got up, "Stay here, child. I have something . . . important to do." Asgore told you and quickly left in a hurry afterwards.
You furrowed your eyebrows at the creature's weird actions and decided to obey his command. It wouldn't take that long, would it? You decided to munch on the last remaining piece of pie on the counter until you felt rather drowsy.
You head back to your room and decided to sleep it off, hoping that when you wake up? Asgore would tell you about the question you asked him.
Another day had passed, you woke up in a fit of yawns and stretches all around. You glance at the floor, expecting a plate of pie left to you by Asgore but there was nothing. You pouted your lips at the sight before pushing yourself off the bed with an annoyed grunt.
You left the room in search of the goat-like creature, you wandered around his home until you found yourself down the stairs he had forbidden you to go. You saw him standing in the midst of the hallway just a few steps away from you.
He seemed to be fazed once he heard the footsteps coming towards him, "Do not try and stop me, child." He told you, trying his best not to stutter or anywhere near that word as he took a sharp turn. You noticed that he'd stopped, considering there were no longer sounds of his heavy footsteps.
Did he really stood here all by himself? Waiting for you to follow him yesterday? Did he really stood in the middle of this dark and cold hallway just waiting for you? You feel silly for Asgore considering that he was actually waiting for you to follow him again. You decided to just do what he wants and followed him.
"Asgore?" You called, making him jump at the sudden use of your voice, "What did I t-tell you, child? Do not try and stop me. Go to your room, please." He said to you sternly as he continued to walk and you continued to follow, "This is ridiculous. You go upstairs. You kept telling me I'm not allowed to go here because I might catch a cold o-or a cough or anything!" You spat, but the creature didn't even seem to be oblivious to your existence.
"Oh, so now you're ignoring me?" You sassed, putting both of your hands to your hip, expecting him to turn around and tell you otherwise, but he didn't, "Dad!" You bit your tongue quickly as your eyes widened at your sudden action. The creature, Asgore, seemed to have caught in your actions. He stopped, dead in his tracks as he looked over his shoulder to see you all shocked up.
You were too caught up in what you were thinking that you didn't notice the creature's gaze at you. Why did you say that? Why did you call him your father? Do you miss your home that much? Why? No one had ever treated you kindly back home. So why were you so determined in getting the heck out of here? Were you homesick? But you were already sick of your old home.
Little did you know, you were having another one of your panic attacks and Asgore seemed fazed by the idea of your heavy and fast breathing, "I-I can't-Oh, God. I can't . . . n-no, I'm sorry. I'm so so sorry. I didn't–hack!" You started choking on your own saliva and Asgore was already there by your side. That didn't happen in your old home. So why were you so determined?
"Child, breathe. Follow after me." He told you reassuringly as he started breathing calmly. To which you had a hard time following considering you were going through a fit of 'I can't's' and 'oh my god's'. Apparently, you caught on his breathing and was now calming down.
Asgore sighed in relief once he realized you were calm and softly stroked your back, "Child," he called as you were quietly sobbing into his fur, "do you still want to leave?"
His question didn't seem to faze you. You nodded your head to answer his question. You heard the creature took a deep breath before letting you go and looking straight into your eyes.
"Are you sure? After what had happened today. Are you certain about your decision, child?"
You nodded once more, making him sigh in defeat, "Then, I ask of you, little one. Once you leave, please. . . ." after took a long shaky breath, "Do not come back." He told you with a warm smile, his eyes twinkled with tears. You bit back your tears as he lead you to the doors of the RUINS.
"I hope you underst—" you engulfed the big fuzz ball into a warm, comforting hug as tears spilled your eyes once more, "I'll miss you . . . Dad." You teased with a quiet chuckle, earning one from him as well, "And I will miss you, child." He told you, twirling a couple strands of your hair before kissing your forehead.
"Be safe, child." You nodded and grasp the stash of your backpack, soon opening the RUINS door and leaving the warm place you now called 'Home'.
