As soon as Ran spoke, the door slammed open. 5 men entered the room, all wore the same black suit with a blue bandana on their arm with a symbol of an eye. Each of them was holding their own swords. "The Eye is here." said Ran still grinning "Go inside children, except you Elijah. You will learn how to fight by watching. Men who practice 'the way of the blade' do not get lessons. They learn through watching their mentor fight."

Elijah nodded and his sisters rushed to the door as he sat down on the floor.

"San! We have come for your head!" said one of them. "I knew you will come back, though I'd expected later." said Ran. All five of them ran toward the swordsman. "Listen closely, Elijah!" shouted Ran as he blocked one of his attackers then punched him in the face "First rule, always think first before attacking! You got 5 attackers, but you are more seasoned and better at fighting. The best way to handle this is to fight them one by one."

Ran disabled one of his attackers by hitting his hand by the back of his sword. "Second rule, look for a weak spot!" screamed Ran as he hit another attacker at the back "EVERY. PERSON. HAS. IT! Searching it is easy! It would be based on his facial expressions, the places he is defending, or a place that is not protected well."

"Third rule!" shouted Ran as he swiftly injured the leg of an attacker by hitting it with the back of his sword "Honor your opponents will to fight! Treat them seriously when fighting. But, according to the fourth rule, DO NOT KILL A MAN IF NECESSARY!"

As the only man left dropped his sword, Ran pointed his sword to his face. "Fifth and most important rule, say it." The man gulped as he replied "Never fight an unarmed opponent." Ran sheathed his sword and held the last man by his collar. "Now, tell me why the hell you want these kids?" said Ran in a more serious tone "Kenji is smart enough to know that they have nothing, even if he's all muscle and no brains."

"I will keep my mouth shut!" screamed the attacker.

Ran punched him and sighed. "That was amazing!" said Elijah "Although I am not sure how will I learn how to fight like you." Ran laughed, which was now contagious to Elijah. "You will when the time comes. Now go back to your sisters, you will do basic slashing and stabbing exercises tommorow, from there you will have to learn your own fighting style alone. Rest while I clean this up."

Elijah left as Ran smiled at him. Elijah looked back to see him walk to his desk and hold a picture. As he held the picture, Ran began to cry. He did not see it, but Elijah knew that it would have a valuable picture to make Ran cry.

That night, the siblings decided to sleep on the Black Phoenix. Though most of the men of Ran, who now began calling Elijah "Young Master", insisted that they sleep inside the compound, they wanted to stay in the plane that had their father's keepsakes to them.

Some of the men helped in filling the ship with supplies that they can use along their journey. As the men finished filling the cargo bay, they courteously asked Elijah permission to leave. To much of Elijah's annoyance, he nodded knowing that they won't leave if he doesn't reply.

"Hey! You haven't watched your video yet!" Majella pointed out as she saw his CD on the desk of the cockpit "It was dad's orders that you watch it when you meet your instructor." Carlene nodded and said "In Elijah's case, 'Sensei'. You should watch it now."

Elijah took the CD and put it in the player.

The screen showed a less intimidating video dad, holding a little baby on his hand. "My first boy, Elijah." said Sam proudly as he tickled baby Elijah's feet "If you are watching this, then that means you met Ran. Nice guy, always has his priciples first before pride. Elijah, you will learn from him the art of the blade. However, you will have to know more about your Godfather, and the reason why he named you Elijah."
