"Meggan, I have something to tell you." He said with a wide grin excitedly looking at his best
friend before class "I have a girlfriend." Her heart cracked and her words were running away
from her, when she finally caught up with them she managed to choked out
"Oh that's great, who is she?" She looked at him and forcing a smile that didn't match her
sunken sad eyes, trying to hide how broken she was.
"Her name is Nia and she's in some of our classes." Meggan lost her smile completely, not even trying anymore. Her emotions were mixed, she couldn't tell if she was seeing red or
green. She didn't know if she wanted to yell or cry. Her mind was racing alongside her cracked heart.
'How could this happen?!' She yelled at herself in her head
"Meggan, are you okay?" Micah broke her fixed stare on the concrete floor of the school.
"Yeah i'm fine. I'm happy for you." She bit her lip trying not to yell out to him that she hated her. "If you don't want me to then i won't go out with her." he looked a bit sad and concerned
"No Micah, as your friend," She paused and played with her fingers a bit "I want you to be happy and if she makes you happy then, there you go. That's my answer." They both smiled,
only hers was fake, and they went to their first class together. They sat down and soon after the late bell rang Nia sat in the empty seat next to Micah.
