A New Morning

The next morning, I woke up by the gracious help of the alarm. I was so excited. This new day is going to play an important role in my life.

I quickly took my shower and and went down to take my breakfast. My dad was all prepared. He had taken his breakfast earlier.

" Hey sunshine..."

" Good Morning..." My dad said after kissing my forehead.

My mum was busy in the kitchen. I went to the kitchen to greet my mum. My dad stood behind the counter and said,

" Better hurry up girl..."

" You'll be late for the flight then..."

I teased him and replied,

" I will if you don't speed up the car later..."

My Dad's POV

" Oh man... My little girl has grown up..."

" How I wish I could reverse the time ..."

Lucy and I are very much like best friends. She is much closer to me than to her mother.

I still remembered that one day when I went to pick her up from school and she was holding hand with a boy.

That boy looked pretty smart and I bet there would be many girls worshiping him.

I got down from the car and walked straight up to them. When I went closer, Lucy and that boy let go their hands and acted like they didn't do anything.

They tried to explain the situation because they were busted.

I went closer to the boy and told him just one thing,

" If you really love my baby girl right there... You better be true to her...."

Lucy was totally amazed by my decision. She thought she would be grounded for months for what she had done.

The smile that Lucy gave me on that day was magical.

Their relationship went very smoothly. Suddenly one day, Lucy came home crying. She told me that they broke up.

Teenagers !

I just wished I could have had that kid in front of me at that moment. I would have hooked him up on the hanger.

Everything seemed to be just nice when we parents get to know that our kids has finally found someone that they can spend their time with. We have the hope that things will go better, and before we could set our mind into that, it gets worst.

I just don't understand these teenagers nowadays.

Britney and I were never like that. She was my first love and so was I to her. Britney suffered so much when delivering Lucy. That incident is still fresh in my mind. I couldn't bare to see Britney suffer anymore. So, we both have decided to only have Lucy.

Now, my cute little baby girl has grown up. Lucy is looking really beautiful and confident.

I just can't think of how fast she grew up. I have a heavy heart sending her away for six months but one thing I know is that through this program she would have a better future.
