"Topanga, come out here for dinner honey." I hear Cory say as he walks into our bedroom, dressed in a suit and tie. Which was his apparel for work most of the time.

I turn my head as I'm laying in bed - fully covered by blankets. I haven't been out of bed in two days, I've just been staring at the walls, crying, or sleeping. Even though I need to be at work tomorrow.

"I'm not hungry." I snap back , softly. I can hear Cory groan from over here. Not an angry groan, more of a sad groan. I'm the only one who can tell the difference with Cory. He's not the open book everyone thinks he is.

"Topanga, You need to eat something. Come on." He replies, setting his hand on the door handle to lean. I can feel the sadness coming from him, it's almost unbearable.

"I said no!" I shoot back even louder. Cory sighs and walks out , shutting the door. Tears start streaming down my face and I grasp the blanket tightly.

Cory's Pov.

"Where's Mom?" Riley asks as I walk into our kitchen, and sit down at the table. I cook breakfast and leave it for the kids - considering leave a little before they wake up, and Topanga always cooks dinner - so tonight was different. I had ordered a pizza because I had no idea what to make.

"She's tired again, I don't think she'll be joining us tonight." I reply with a sigh. I can't tell the kids without her - she's good at the emotional stuff.

"Is mommy sick? She didn't even help me with my outfit this morning. I don't think I match well." Auggie says with a puzzled expression. I lean over to look at his outfit, and see he's wearing a striped green and yellow shirt, with bright blue sweatpants.

I bite my tongue before I say anything, because I don't wanna hurt his feelings.
"You look great, Aug. I can help you tomorrow, okay?" Riley says - cutting me off. Thank god.

Auggie nods and I mouth "thank you" to Riley, as she smiles in reply.

"Isn't tomorrow your's and moms anniversary?" Riley asks, biting her cheese pizza right after.

"It is." I reply with a smile - not wanting to elaborate on anything, because I'm not sure if Topanga will even want to do anything.

"Dad, is mom going to work tomorrow?" Auggie asks. Goodness, I just love how all his curiosity comes now. As if I don't have enough on my plate.

"You know what, she may - but let's talk about something else." I quickly reply, eating a piece of pizza. I can already tell Riley knows something's going on - but I will not be the one to tell them.
