Arriway stumbled down the dirt path in Ectilea Cave. He tripped over a hidden rock and went flying, almost breaking his nose on another rock, but was saved by two of his tentacle-wings, which shot out and slammed into the ground, breaking his fall. He scrambled to his feet, passing his left palm over his forehead which had a long red gash in it, healing it, and carried on running.
When he finally arrived at the underground Ectilea Spring, Dhase was already there, and by the utterly bored look on his face, he had been waiting quite a while.
"Arriway, has there ever been, and will there ever be a day when you are not late?" Dhase asked with bored sarcasm. "It is the Princess of Idia's sixteenth birthday today, and her parents, the King and the Queen, are holding a grand ball this evening for all the kingdom. As the Prophetess Ectilea told us, this princess is the first half-human born into the Idian Royal Family; she is special. You must seek her at the ball, and arrange for her to visit Ectilea."
