The Usual Please

I sipped my iced coffee with a smile on my face as Calum strode confidently over to where my brother Ashton and I sat. Michael was busy ordering his own and Ashton was texting his so called 'childhood friend' Lola.
"Ashton! You TOTALLY like Lola right?" I part my lips from the straw and my eyes slowly drift  upwards to meet his own. Ashton's gaze travelled from the screen of his phone, to the window ( where he also let out quite an irritated sigh ) and then to my own.
"Did you know Tana. Not every girl I speak to do I have to be romantically interested in." Ashton slumped back in his seat with yet another sign before crossing his eyes and casting his eyes very quickly back to the window.
"But you totally do like Lola." I leaned forward to watch Ashton shuffle awkwardly in the green leather seat, much to my amusement, I knew exactly how to press my brother's buttons. Whilst Ashton stumbled through his thoughts for an excuse, Michael came back and sat beside him and Calum pulled himself closer to me, wrapping an arm around me and fondly rubbing my side.
"I don't like Lola. You're being completely irrational." He glared coldly at me. "And so what if I did like Lola? She's my best friend, alright Tana? Do you like Mikey like that? No. And I don't like Lola in a romantic way. You're so frustratingly bothersome sometimes Tana. Quit being so provoking." Ashton went red and continued to text Lola. Mikey seemed confused on what he'd just entered and shot Calum the classic Michael 'What exactly have I missed' look, which got Calum's simple 'You don't wanna know' expression back. I glared at Ashton as he texted Lola, before leaning back, chewing on the straw with my coffee with a grin.
"Ashton. You do speak such big words for a boy with such a small dick." I smirk evilly at him.

On the walk home, Ashton had lightened up quite a lot, which was good because I did love it when my brother was happy, but had still chosen to drive home and wasn't accepting passengers apparently. Michael had to get home and practice his guitar, but promised he would text me later on and Calum said he'd walk me home. My street was empty and cold, almost like something out of 'The Walking Dead'. Calum was gently tracing small figure eights with his thumb on my hand as he held it entwined with his own. I felt Calum pull me closer as we neared my house before turning me to face him.
"I hope you had a good day princess." Calum spoke softly before tucking my hair behind my ear. I look down at the floor with a giggle, but Calum's strong hands gently lifted my chin up to look at him.
"It was a great day, thank you for asking." I murmured as Calum and I exchanged looks. Cal very carefully lifted my chin up and lowered his lips so that they could touch one last time before I went inside. As the kiss broke, Calum smiled at me one last time before wishing me a goodbye and continuing down the street to his own home. As Calum disappeared, I noticed a removal lorry across the street of my house, shaking it off, I gave the street one last smile before heading inside.
