A WEEK LATER ~

Morning arrived swiftly. Too swiftly. I felt like I got 5 seconds sleep. I woke up to Ashton shaking me excitedly.
"WHAT WHAT WHAT IS IT" I yelled as my brother shook me violently awake.
"Our newest band member has finally moved to our town!! We're meeting him at school today!!" Ashton squealed like a 5 year old girl. I shoved him off with a small laugh.
"Your band?" I searched my memory briefly. "Ah, yeah your band. You guys are alright I guess." I smirk and wink at him.
"Well don't be TOO supportive then Tans, calm it on the enthusiasm would you?" Ashton laughed and threw a pair of ripped skinny jeans at me. "Here, I've got new pairs, have my old ones." Ashton said before leaving my room. I turned to myself in the mirror and began to criticise myself. It'd been over a year since I last self harmed, all thanks to Calum. I quickly got dressed into a black 'Iron Maiden' tee that I stole from Mikey a couple years ago and Ashton's old ripped skinny jeans. I pulled over a green flannel and once again, stole Ashton's black boots. I tied my hair back into a neater bun and applied some makeup before going downstairs.
"Eat something." Ashton ordered. I shrugged and shuffled awkwardly.
"I'm not really exactly very hungry.." I sighed. Ashton placed down his fork and knife and, still chewing, looked up at me from across the table.
"Look, Tana, you need to eat." He swallowed. "Pick something up Tana please." He sighed. I looked down sadly then back up.
"Alright.." I grabbed some bacon and an apple. I'd had a very fast metabolism all my life so it was difficult for me to cling on to weight I gained, so now I just chose to try and eat as little as possible instead of having to try to eat loads. Ashton worried too much.. He was such a caring brother. I ate quickly so that I didn't have to focus on the taste and grabbed my school stuff with Ashton as we left the house.
"I'm gonna take the car again so I can meet Sapphire at school, okay?" Ashton looked back at me to receive a nod of approval. Sapphire had been Ashton's crush for ages. Ashton waved goodbye and sped off, leaving me waiting outside our house for Calum. Across the road, Luke's house door opened to arguing and Luke slammed the door. He looked down sadly then spotted me and jogged over.
"Morning Tana!" Luke waved.
"Morning Luke." I smiled back.
"You walking to school?" Luke asked playing with his slightly messy blonde hair.
"Yeah, I'm just waiting for Calum, my boyfriend." I nod and smile. Luke smirked to himself then looked up
"Lucky guy, huh?" His sudden confidence both alarmed and delighted me.
"Flirty huh? Two can play at that game." I smirked, suddenly hands wrapped around me pulling me into a tight hug.
"Cal!" I giggled in happiness and spun around to hug him back as Luke stood awkwardly beside us.
"Luke!" Calum grinned and pulled him into a hug too.
"You two know each other?" I asked.
"Yeah, he's in our band babe." Calum chuckled. Luke.. Was the guy Ashton was talking about?
"Let's get going" Luke laughed to himself.

Calum had gone off to his English class and I had gone to mine. I was in a higher class than Calum for some stuff, but I'd always had Ashton to help me out, Calum always had to be the helper with his sister Mali. I sat down in my usual spot by the window as Mrs Minati began to talk, before the door flung open and my new floppy haired friend stood in the doorway.
"Uh.. Hi... I?" Luke started.
"Yes yes yes take a seat." Mrs Minati shooed the boy away. The only seat in the class was next to me, it was like some cheesy romance book I read on Wattpad or some stupid chick flick. Of course I did NOT like Luke romantically. Luke came and sat down next to me and unpacked his stuff like as Mrs Minati lectured on about her expectations in the highest English class and I remember mine and Luke's flirty banter from earlier and smirked.
"So you're smart AND cute? What's next, you cook and clean?" I laughed. Luke smirked at me back.
"Well yes I do. They're part of my many chores." He opened his book with a smile. He was reading 'The Perks Of Being A Wallflower'. Good choice.
"Oh really? I might just have to borrow you for myself some time." I chuckle.
"I'm kidding of course." I spoke quickly after and turned to writing in my book. I didn't like Luke like that...
