The Shadow Beings - Chapter 4: Training in the Dark

The old man and me stood there in the center of the dark world the environment constantly felt like it was changing, the air pressure, the gravity, even the landscape seemed to change through the darkness as shadows passed by every now and then. The man finally began to speak after a few minutes of silence, "right now i will teach you how to concentraite your energy, this may take a while since your new to this form" he gave me a demonstration of my objective, I could feel a pressure emanating from his body "now this is what you must learn to leave the shadow world".

Some time passed before he disappeared from sight, my eyes became the size of quarters as i gasped in amazement . I turned my head to the left and the right to try and find but i could not find him, i was shocked when i felt a light tapping on my shoulder to which i turned to face the old man who had reappeared behind me. 

Surprised at seeing this I exclaimed "How did you do that ?!" He then began to explain "I used the shadow energy to teleport behind you, concentraiting and relesing my energy to vanish into the darkness unseen" "wow thats awesome, i definately need to learn that, when can I do it?" "once you have mastered shadow energy control."

After several hours of training i had finally discovered the way to properly control my energy, after doing so i said excitedly "well i guess i'm ready to do it" I relaxed by smoothly breathing and relaxing my mucsles, I could feel my energy focusing in a single point of my body. I felt my energy rise and the aura surrounding me, the man said "very goood, now concentraite that energy to your hand." As I was told i sent a large portion of energy to my hand which filled my hands and flowed to my fingertips, afterwards claws came up from my fingers. With a quick swing of my arm the space in front of me was sliced and a dark portal appeared. "I did it!, well see you later im going now!" he responded "okay, come back another time so I can train you even more... god knows you will need it" for a moment I paused to wonder why he would say that but i simply shrugged my shoulders and smiled saying "I will, thanks a lot" as i stepped into the portal.

Everything around me became blurry, I could see that I was moving at an inhumanly possible speed, as if I was riding on a falling star. Flashes of light zoomed past me, i wondered if I was going to die, until I saw nothing but an eternal bright light.
