The Shadow Beings - Chapter 6: Desperation

Passing through the flashing lights, I looked down at Shawns limp body dangling from my grip. I thought to myself "I hope the others can actually do something" then the light came to an end.

Darkness filled the area around me "hello is there anybody here?!" I yelled out "ah, welcome back..did..did you bring back a human?" Out of breath I answered "y..yeah this is my friend, he was shot in the head by a strange man that seemed to be looking for me, do you know anything about that?" he answered just as soon as i asked "actually I do, but that's for another time, i'm guessing you want me to bring him back to life?" I then proceded to say "yes I do, but are you able to do it?" He answered back in a low tone "wellnot me, but there is one who could summon his spirit and put it back inside the body." In excitement I reacted joyfully "great! so who is it that can do this?" He paused for a brief moment and replied "one of the shadow being elders can complete such a task."

Picking shawns body up from the ground I walked closer and asked "well what are we waiting for?" he answered "for the elder to come by, he should be here soon. Oh and before I forget to ask, what happened to the man who killed you're friend?" I looked down in disappointment sighing "he got away from me, I sliced at him with my claws but he was still able to escape." when I finished the man was silent as was I.

The elder finally appeared before us after a few minutes of standing around awkwardly. The elder appeared to be ancient to me, with many wrinkles and I noticed he had a slow and tired-like voice "well, hello Cyperus...so we have the new shadow being in our prescence, what is you're name?" I answered back to him "I'm Jerry, but enough with introductions I need your help" the elder asked "what is wrong?" I looked down at Shawns body "my friend has been killed, I was hoping you could bring him back to life" he smiled and walked closer "yes of course, I will bring back to life, however this will take quite a bit of time" I picked Shawn up and carried him over to the elder, who took him as he said to me "but remember this is a one time favor, if someone else is to die that you care for it's for keeps" I nodded and said thanks. The elder finally walked away and I turned to the man who's name I had figured was cyperus "so Cyperus what do you say about teaching me more things like you said you would?" He shrugged and answered "eh, I guess I can teach you a thing or two while you're waiting".
