The Shadow Beings - Chapter 5: Dark Rage

I stared up at the bright light and as my vision became less blurry I noticed a ceiling, however my vision was going in and out I was able to adjust my eyes, looking around I realized I was in the nurses office but the problem was, there was no nurse. There was a faint sound coming from the hallway which I couldnt make out. I looked down at my watch and saw that it was 1:25 pm. "damn, I wasnt out for very long, what happened here, where is everyone?" I questioned myself as I walked on.

All of a sudden I heard a gun shot and screaming followed by whimpering coming from the cafeteria, I ran at full speed up the halland slowed down as I sneaked into the cafeteria, stepping behind a corner. I peeked around the corner to find out what was happenening, I saw a man in a white outfit holding a gun at a familiar group of people, although being behind them I could not tell who they were.

I had used the new trick that I had learned to become completely invisible so I could get closer without being spotted, I could have sworn I was back in the shadow world however I could see everything in the normal world. While moving closer I could finally identify the people who was my friends Mike, Caitlin, ashton, and shawn all tied up together. As I moved closer I heard the man ask "where is the shadow being, tell me where he is I know you know" they remained quite although they were shivering and whimpering. I was shocked to hear the man mention shadow being, as I thought about it the man pulled the trigger, my eyes were wide as I watched shawns now dead body fall to the floor with a bullet hole in his forehead.

A burning feeling began to form up inside my body, and I could not focus, I could see that my sight was fading from the shadows and i was visible again. As soon as I became visible the man shouted into a mic "I found him,! I found the shadow being!" I could hear myself start to growl and saw myself moving closer though I couldnt control my own movements. I felt rage overcome my body, my nails turned to claws as my teeth became sharp fangs, and my skin turned a purple-grey.

I roared at the strange man, before engaging the man I could barely hear caitlin saying "Jerry , what the hell are you?!" I ignored her question as I focused on the target "I'm going to kill you...vermen" the man scoffed "ha you're going to kill me? You are as foolish as the other trophies I have in my collection that thought they could kill me." The burning in my body became an eruption of anger and I roared loudly and an aura fomed from my body making the cafeteria floor tremble, and the windows shatter. This distracted the man, seeing my opportunity I teleported behind him, and shoved my claws through his back "ah...damn you!" he cried out, I snarled "thats not all, you're going to pay for what you have done before you die!" 

I pinned the man up against the wall and sliced at his limbs with my claws, he was barely able to move but to my surprise he had managed to catch my arm and struck me i nthe side of my face with his fist "grr...I underestimated once, not this time!" I lunged foreward bringing my open hand up with my claws pointed to him aiming for a killing blow, however a strange device sprang up from his arm, he yelled "fuck this, i'm out of here!" from the device a green cloud of chemicals shot out which crippled my vision.

When the smoke had cleared the man was gone, I stood over Shawns body staring down at him "damnit..damnit..damnit!" I yelled, I heard Caitlin stutter "w..what..what happened?" I quickly answered "it's a long story but I dont have time to explain, I have to save Shawn" Caitlin cried out "thats impossible he's already dead" I turned to them and said "I have to try, you'll see" I turned back grabbing Shawns arm and canished.
