I only had a few people to tell about my engagement. I'm really happy, but I have this feeling in my chest that is unfamiliar.
"Why the long face? Aren't you happy?" Abigail asks. She has become a very close friend since I started the weight loss program and I thank her for that. I have never had any friends aside from Kacy.
I smile. "Of course I'm happy. I was just thinking for a minute."
"Hmm? About what?" She asks, lifting a curious brow.
"Nothing really important. Sorry, you were saying something?"
She shakes her head with a small smile on her face. "It was about Kacy, wasn't it?"
My eyes widen. "N-No. I haven't really thought about him lately. I've been so caught up with Beau that I almost forgot about him." How could I do that? Kacy is- was my best friend. I haven't talked nor seen him since his wedding. Maybe something happened to him? I sigh. No. I doubt I he'd do anything like that. He just most likely told Kacy to stay away from me and I know Kacy would listen. He loves that man. I kind of wish he didn't, but he's an adult and allowed to do as he pleases.
"Anyways," Abigail says, ripping me out of my thoughts, "Beau and Cedric are waiting for us."
