"Reeve, are you sure?" He asks with worry evident in his voice.
"Don't worry. They'll love you. I've already told them so much about you and we've been dating for almost a year."
A smile appears on his face and his worry washes away in a single second. "It's really been almost a year?"
I blush and nod. I can't believe I've actually kept date of it. Well, it's not like he wasn't forcing me to. He'd mark it on the calendar for some odd reason. I turn away from him and March up to the door. I breathe deeply before ringing the doorbell. I really hope they like him. I've told them about him, but I have been so scared for them to all meet. I guess it was mostly my fear of him possibly leaving me. I feel Beau wrap his arm around my waist and press a kiss to the top of my head.
"I love you," he whispers against my hair.
I turn a bit and look up at him with a soft smile. "I love you too."
"Aww! Aren't they just adorable, Jamie?" I hear my grandmother shriek in excitement.

I sit in the kitchen with my grandpa as grandma pulls out photo albums with my baby and old self in them. I don't really mind, but I'm scared because he has never seen the old me. I can see them from where I sit at the kitchen table as she points to different pictures, explaining the events of the day it was taken. I turn to grandpa who was looking over at the two as well before turning to face me.
"He's perfect," he tells me with a smile, only loud enough for me to hear.
I smile too, but it falters a bit when I look back at Beau and catch him looking at the photo album with all of my high school pictures. What surprises me most is the huge smile he has plastered on his face. Along with the loving glance he gives me before his eyes return to the horrible pictures.
"Almost too perfect," I mumble.
He pats me on the shoulder. "Remember that you'll never know what you have until it's gone. Don't over think it, Reeve. He makes you happy, you do the same for him. That much is obvious. Your parents would want this for you."
I nod and put my head down on the table. Would they?
I feel a warm hand on my back and feel someone slide into the chair beside me.
"What's the matter, Ree? You feeling okay?" Beau asks.
I turn my head and look up at him with a small smile. "I'm fine. Just a little tired, I guess."
He leans forward and lightly kisses my forehead. "Should've finished that paper when I told you to."
I let out a small groan. "Yeah, but I was having too much fun playing Minecraft."
He just shakes his head with that same simple smile on his face.

"Reeve?"
We are currently in the living room of our apartment. We just returned from my grandparents. I turn around to find him kneeling on one knee, holding up a golden band. I gasp. What's happening? What is this? What's he doing? "What are you doing?" I ask in a barely audible whisper.
He chuckles. "Reeve -you won't tell me your middle name- Gansey, will you please do me the honor of becoming my future husband?"
I can't answer. I'm too excited. Too happy. Is this really happening?
I happily nod and he looks like he's about to burst with joy as he stands up and presses his soft lips to my own trembling ones.
