~Ross~
I sat under the tree sketching anything random that came to my head. I had 30 minutes before warmups started. Suddenly I felt eyes on my back and I turned to see my cute redheaded boyfriend. He was slightly sweaty presumably because of his cross country practice.
"Hey babe." He smiled at me. God he was so fucking adorable.
"Hey, shouldn't you be running in the woods or something." I chuckled.
"Well when I saw you sitting here and I wanted to say hi."
"Well you said hi, however I want you to come to the game so can you finish up your miles or whatever." I asked making puppy eyes at him.
"For you." He kissed my cheek and ran off back into the woods.
"OOOHhhoHHoOOh!!!" I heard from a distance. A pair of feet came running up behind me before I could see Shelby now standing beside me.
"PDA! I don't aprove." She giggled.
I got up and swept the dirt off of my jeans and flashed a smirk at Shelby.
"Don't be jelly cuz." And with that I walked off.
I walked into the locker room and the sharp smell of cheap cologne infiltrated my nose. I went over to change into my soccer uniform and my teammates were getting excited for the game since it was against our biggest rivals. I couldn't help but be nervous I was a center defender for the Varsity team and to top it off my boyfriend was going to be watching us.
time skip to the game
I stepped onto the field and the whistle blew. Time flew by along with all the players sweaty bodies. The score was 2-0 and we were winning but I couldn't help but feel the nerves creeping down my back. I didn't want to mess up, a forward of the other team started bolting towards me. I stole the ball from them in a swift movement as I was looking around I felt a sharp pain in my ankle and I fell. I started to blank on what was happening. It all happened so fast, gasps from the audience, people running on the field, and me being brought to the nurse. Once I was played down I fell asleep.
Maxs P.O.V (before the game)
I finished up my practice as soon as I could and rushed to the locker room to change. Once I finished that I drove over to a local coffee shop to grab a coffee and 2 cookies. One for me and one for Ross after his game. I wasn't too interested in soccer, but it was Ross and he was the exception. I sang along to the radio and took small sips of my coffee as I approached the school again. Everyone was coming to see this game, people were getting hype about it all day. I walked onto the bleachers and took my seat near the top. The game was boring but I couldn't take my eyes off Ross. He was so focused on this game, I love how he was passionate about something he loved. But all of a sudden a player slide tackled Ross when he wasn't paying attention. An obvious red card. Ross fell and didn't get up, I was nervous I didn't want him hurt. Soccer was too important to him. I stood up and started walking towards the field I went with Ross to the nurses but he was too tired and fell asleep as soon as we got there.
After a few hours he awoke from his nap and smiled at me.
"I can't get rid of ya can I?" He chuckled.
"Not a chance." I smiled standing up. I went over to the bed he was on and placed a small kiss on his forehead.
We later decided that he'd spend the night at my place since he needed quality boyfriend time after the disastrous game. The night passed quickly and consisted mostly of us falling asleep in each others arms. But when it was finally time to go to my bed I lent him extra clothes and we entangled our feel and let the darkness take over our vision.
