CARA

chapter one 

"she is awake sir ,yes I am positive ,OK ,see you soon sir" 

 I slowly tried to open my eyes but my lids felt like metal I could barely left them up to see who was talking ..The lights were too bright  oh God where Am I 

"Ma'am welcome back" A woman in her thirties  gave me a big smile "Where am I ?what's going on?" I asked shocked by all the wires linked to my body and the peeping sound of that God awful machine is driving me insane "Ma'am calm down you are in a hospital ,Mr.Howard is on his way "

as she was talking an old man walked into the room holding a clipboard "Hello Miss Cara ,how are you feeling ?"  apparently the old man is my doctor how am I feeling ?I feel dead "I feel u-uhm thirsty " I looked around I was in a white room with a huge couch and a flat screen on the wall ,the Curtains  were pulled to the side allowing the bright rays of sunlight to enter the room "Why am I alone where's my family ?? my mother would not leave me alone in a hospital where is she?where is my sist..." " Gone Cara" I was cut off by a man leaning on the door frame "what do you mean gone ?Gone as in where ?...wait....no  NO " I felt the hot tears roll down my cold cheeks as the flashbacks came back I can remember now 

 They are dead !

9 months ago 

Get dressed I am waiting outside xx

I rolled my eyes at how bossy my friend just sounded as I read the text message ,I quickly ate my breakfast and cleaned the table and headed upstairs to change my clothes ,Natalie the bossy girl is my best friend she has been through a lot ,We have been friends for 4 years As I was walking towards my room I passed by my sister's, Ruby she is almost always in her room she is a little bit over weight and she is getting bullied in High school ..she is the dark one in my family I don't blame her cause she is actually surviving a tough phase in her life

" I've been waiting for almost 30 minutes now what were you doing in there ? " as Nat started  scolding me I looked at what she was wearing a tight red dress that ended right above her knees with sky high black heels and her blonde curls falling down her shoulder " Woah Nat what are you wearing ?!!and where are you going? Am I missing some important information  that you forgot to tell me about by accident??" I whisper yelled  as I raised my eyebrows and put my left hand on my left hip

"Cara I have an audition in an hour and I need you to take me there"

  I looked into her brown eyes and smiled she always wanted to be an actress but I don't know why she picks those outfits I mean it is not really necessary 

 "Nat your audition  and you tell me now ?? I'll kill you later get in the car and give me some directions  " I always drove Natalie around because she didn't have a car due to lack of money and the recklessness of her father 

 I got in the car and waited till she got strapped in and here we go "turn the music on Nat we need you to chill " I laughed as I looked her way she was breathing heavily  "Cara this isn't funny you know..stop it or I will slap you " she pouted  "Nat if you wanna get that role you better not do that duck face alright ?otherwise you need to search for other things to do "I laughed as I turned on the music ,And I love it is on

 "Cara our favorite song I got this feeling on the summer day when you were gone.I crashed my car into the bridge. I watched, I let it burn.I threw your shit into a bag and pushed it down the stairs I crashed my ca-- ...."

 "Shhh girl thank God you want to be an actress not a singer you gave me a headache now let me drive OK " she sounded like death itself "You sound horrible too Cara " 

she started to point out my flaws " you suck about pretty much everything except for driving  and degrading others " she said as she started looking out of the window ,she looked upset  "I'm sorry Nat I was only fooling around with you ,I thought you will ---" she turned around and started laughing "I am one helluva an actress am I ?" she laughed so hard that she can't breath anymore "Really nice Natalie really nice " I dragged my eyes from a laughing till death Natalie and focused on the road

I walked into the living room after I had  driven Natalie to her audition and waited there for 2 hours it was worth it though she did great ,and after that we headed to our favourite restaurant in the town

"Good afternoon dad" I greeted my father he is always working and I found it strange that he is  home so early " ran out of cases today ?" I chuckled ,I watched him as he started looking at me with the 'what are you implying look'

  "Good afternoon Cara how was your day?and Yes I ran out of cases and now we will be broke and you have to give up that pretty car of yours " he said almost sounding angry I smiled and went to where He was sitting and hugged him " Dad you know that I only miss you, these days you are never home and mum is always busy ,Can you blame me for wanting to see you guys ?" I rested my head on his shoulder "I know darling but our work demands a lot of our time, there is nothing we  can do about it " he explained to me looking upset 

"Ok dad I understand ,hungry?" I got up and smiled down at him "Yes order some pizza for me and for your sister and let's eat together " he told me as he handed me some money "alright "

I went to the kitchen and grabbed the phone and ordered pizza and Pepsi and sat on one of the stools and took out my phone and started checking my emails ,just as I was about to read my first email the doorbell rang...

that's strange they usually aren't that speedy on delivering  ...I ran to the door to see who it is as I opened the door my heart fell into my stomach as I saw my older sister Alex with  a black eye and a baby bump "Cara oh God how I missed you my baby sister " she started hugging me and I stiffed ,I haven't seen Alex for a whole  year ,I barely even recognize   her

 I started hugging her back "Alex wha-a-t..." I stuttered  " what am I doing here" she finished for me, as I was about to say something  my dad walked in " ALEX?! who on earth did that to you ,oh my girl" dad started hugging her and comforting her as he walked her to the living room 

"He hit me dad ...just because I asked him why he is always late ,he comes home at 5 in the morning almost every day and I keep telling myself he is busy with work but no I had a feeling he is cheating on me and I  was right, he is cheating on me  with my best friend ...my best friend !!"Alex said sobbing and sniffing Dad sat beside her as I sat on the couch across from them ,staring at my sister with disbelief ,her right eye was swollen and purplish  and her bump was about to explode,How could he hurt her when she was carrying his baby ,that sick fuck ,I started biting my lower lip to keep myself calm ,I need to be calm now for my sister 

 "Did you call the police on him ??" dad asked as he was examining her swollen eye"No I just ran I-I didn't think about anything except for running away from him " she rushed

 "It's alright sweetheart , let me call the police and report it ,you will never see that sick bastard ever again " Dad said with anger written all over his face as he started walking out of the room heading upstairs 

I turned my gaze towards my sister and I watched her crying and shaking ,I got up and sat beside her and hugged her tightly "everything will be OK Alex "I whispered
