" Cara I need something from you " Ruby said looking red as a tomato I wanted to hug her cause this might be the first time she actually blushed and showed an emotion "yeah, Ruby anything " I smiled and put a hand on her shoulder to let her know that I am and will always be there for her no matter what

"I need you to cover for me and um ...I need some condoms "

"woah Ruby don't you think you are too young for ya know u h h" "Sex?no I am not I am in love with John and I know he would never hurt me ,we agreed on ...you know what ..fuck you I don't have to explain anything to you " she yelled at me ,what am I supposed to do? just help her out and let her do what might be the biggest mistake in her life or shall I be the forever hated big sister

"look Ruby I can cover for you but I don't have condoms ,I can go buy them from the pharmacy ,but promise me you will be careful and if he forces you to do anything you will let me know .."

"OK whatever " " no promise me " I insisted "fine I promise ,I will be safe ,thats why I asked for condoms in the first place "she huffed .

I did not want Ruby to make the same mistake as Alex did ,she was already too messed up for her own good ,Alex has finally approved of divorcing her husband,after spending almost a month trying to convince her to let him go and that he was not worth it ,I guess love is really blind and deaf and mute  ,her baby is coming into this world in a few weeks and I couldn't be  happier to be an auntie ,dad is spending more time  with us and so is mum ,they are being very supportive of Alex, making her feel comfortable.

And Me I am going to college with Natalie and we are both heading to an almost perfect future in a few months, l'll be moving out and living on my own ,it scares me a lot ,but it is also exciting ,a new life a new beginning it all just seems unreal to me leaving this place.

I felt my phone vibrating in my pocket  

Cara guess what !! I am going to be ON TV  yaaaaaaay I got picked I got picked  

A big smile crawled to my face as I read the text message  

Nat that's wonderful congrats I am so happy for you girl I love you .

I opened my eyes to a white ceiling and a fan that goes round and round it made me feel more dizzy,I tried to move but I was held by what felt like straps 

"hey finally you woke up " I turned my head towards the familiar voice 

"Mr Howard .. wha- at happened ?" I asked ,as I saw him tense and his adam apple went up and down 

"look Cara you are not exactly normal ,you have been blessed with a gift ..." Mr Howard explained as he was playing  with what it seemed a chain of keys 

I was so confused that my head was about to explode ,a gift ? what is this some kind of a supernatural show 

"what the hell are you talking about ?" I asked with anger and confusion 

"you Cara can control others ,get into their minds ,and you can control things as well " Mr Howard  paused as if he is trying to give me time to fully  understand 

I was speechless ,I just stared at him with my mouth slightly opened ,this is a lot to wrap my head  around

"you are lying ,there is no such thing " I said as I got out of  bed and rushed to the door, I stopped ,as reflection in the mirror caught my eyes ,very little hair covered my head ,big blue eyes framed with dark circles ,pair of eyes that seemed so worn out ,cracked lips ,pale skin
