Chapter 4- The RHPK's First Battle
"This girl's really working her butt off, eh?" Leo whispered to his friend. And there was the Little Pink Knight, swinging a sword at a dummy made of straw and a potato sack.
"Yeah," Leo's friend whispered in return.
Then the king walked in to check on the soldiers. Everyone stopped working and immediately turned to salute him. He was so proud and strong; he walked in a way that caused every person to instantly respect him.
Every person except for the LPK. She kept focusing on the dummy and slicing it in half. She suddenly shrieked out her war cry and kicked it off its wooden stake. The king snapped his fingers.
"I have an announcement!" he barked, glaring at the LPK. "Rosa-"
"DON'T SAY IT!!" the LPK screamed. Even the king looked scared for a brief moment. He cleared his throat.
"Right. Now, everyone please meet me in the conference room within five minutes, understood?"
"Why the conference room?" Murphy asked.
"Because it's where I said." King Duke replied.
"Sir, the conference room is supposed to be used for discussions by military officials and members of the council. We're soldiers," Chloe interjected.
"I am aware of that. And you"- he pointed to the LPK- "I expect you there."
"Yes Sir," she mumbled and turned around to face the beaten dummy.
King Duke left the room, leaving an army of panicking soldiers behind.
"What are we going to do?! We never go there!! You're so dead, Paul!" Chloe yelled.
"What about you?!" Paul shouted back.
"What about me?!"
"It's your fault!"
"WHAT?!" She towered over Paul, fire blazing in her eyes. The LPK had heard enough and picked up her sword. It was light and quick, but not nearly as strong as other swords.
"EVERYONE, STOP!!" she screamed at the top of her lungs. Everyone stopped and stared at her in horror.
"Yes, Rosa-" Brian was cut off by her death glare.
"Let's go! I don't want to, but we have to so I can keep training!"
"Okay!"
Everyone calmed down and filed out of the room towards the main castle. The LPK followed, her chocolate-brown hair shielding her eyes from the soldiers' idiocy.
They were all in a dead silence once they arrived at the front door of the conference room. Chief Parker opened the door for the soldiers and returned to his stiff position beside the threshold.
The soldiers walked in and made rows upon the wall, staring ahead with dark expressions. The LPK stood out of line in front of the table. Leo glared at her.
"Get in line, Ro-"
"Say it and I will kill you," the LPK hissed.
"Then get in line!" Leo barked.
"You're making a bigger scene than needed, Leo."
He sighed and hung his head. "Fine."
The LPK gave him a satisfied smirk and turned back to the king.
"We need to send out more soldiers to go to the war on Fur Clan," King Duke boomed.
"We'll all be killed!" Paul objected, fear clouding his eyes.
