CHAPTER # 11

Zella's P.O.V

Zenith Periwinkle had totally dissappeared, like he had vanished in thin air.

Maybe I was exaggerating that a little. I hadn't actually seen him since yesterday after he left the bakery so yeah I was exaggerating it a tiny bit.

Not that I am complaining about his disappearance or anything.

I had almost forgotten what it was like to have a quiet day without him disturbing me.

And as long as we are on that topic I kept wondering what was all that about yesterday? Seriously that didn't make any sense to me.

This wasn't some fifty shades of grey shit was it? Nah, I'm just thinking crazy stuff.

Unless, that woman was his mother's assistant. But a mother would come and meet her son in the shop itself, unless she was like a crazy power driven lady who had too much standard to even walk in a common shop.

That wouldn't be it because I had met her once in preschool and she wasn't anything like the way I am picturing her right now.

Or maybe he was dating this supermodel and she had sent her assistant to call him so that there would be no scandals.

Now that made sense.

Why was I thinking about that guy right now anyway? That's when I remembered the quote "keep your friends close and your enemies even closer" yep that had to be it. I was keeping my enemies closer.

" you really are going to go huh?" Lauren said as she entered the room with Michie following close behind her . I was already getting dressed up to go with Fennic tonight.

I nodded at her.

And somehow she also thought this was too soon.

And speaking of Lauren, I confronted her about what happened between her and Pavel at the party. She hesitated at first to tell me anything but later she said some things.

Turns out they kind of kissed but it was only an accident and they kind of fought too.

I had already informed that to Alicia but when I tried to call Zenith to tell him all this, he had turned his cell phone off.

Now how the hell were we suppose to go on with our mission to get those two together?

But on the other hand Michie was really excited about this. I told her yesterday at lunch that I broke up with Steve and today Fennic was taking me out, which she said was a date but it actually isn't. I'm just keeping my word here.

"you are so lucky, you realize that? I mean you just broke up with Steve and here you are getting dressed to go on a date. I mean look at the offers pouring in. And here we are, single as ever." Michie started complaining.

"you'll meet someone soon M, don't stress it out. And I didn't "just" break up with Steve, it's been more than a week now . And may I add, this is not a date, I'm just keeping my promise that's all. " I reminded her.

I was almost done getting ready, I was wearing my black pants and emojis printed tank top.

My phone buzzed and I checked it to find Fennic's text. 'You ready? Come down in ten minutes, I'll be waiting at the gate'

"you're smiling, is he here to pick you up already?" Lauren asked.

"no of course not, that would be after ten minutes." Lauren rolled her eyes at me as I said it.
