This had to be the best day EVER! Mom had finally let me stay over a friends house for the night, an actual sleepover!  We moved around alot, so you can understand how excited I was when Mom gave me the go ahead to stay over at Lucy's house. Apparently, I wasn't the only one hat was staying over at a friends house, because my older sister Avalon was too. She was staying over at Ella's house, and that was because Ella had stayed over last week, so they planned that Avalon would stay over this week.Lucy and I did all the things that girls would do at a sleepover. Ate cookies, drank juice, and played with our dolls. Well you can't expect much from us, we ARE only 8.

What i don't think anyone expected was to see my Aunt's car in Lucy's driveway in the morning. I went willingly with her, not knowing if everything was okay or not. Neither of us said a word as Auntie drove, and I took the backseat; while Avalon stayed silent in the shotgun. It was an eerie silence in the vehicle, very awkward. That was until we pulled up and into the driveway into our house. That was when we saw it. All of it.

Police cars, ambulances, fire trucks, almost every car within a 3 mile radius was at our house; and it scared me to death. When we pulled into the driveway, I saw our house, MY house, blocked off by the yellow police tape and I didn't like it. Auntie was crying, and I was surprised to see Avalon crying too. She never cried. EVER! I just didn't understand until I saw 2 white lumpy sheets being hauled into the ambulance.

It finally clicked in my head, then I saw people getting hauled into the police cars.

I never was able ot see Mom's smiling face, or even to see dad ever again. Unles you call seeing their lifeles bodies at the funeral 'seeing them.' The image of them both was permanently ingrained into my brain.  The sad thing was, that was the last day I saw my sister as well. She had left to go and live with Mom's side of the family, while I stayed with Auntie.

We travelled a little bit more and we finally settled down in the town called Blackpool. It may have seemed small to me, but I don't really think it was. The neighboburhood was small and quite quiet, so maybe that's why I had that premonition.

I was homeschooled, but that doesn't mean that I was very illiterate, it's the exact opposite actually. I as one o fthe most mature, smart, and unsurpringly kind girls around. Auntie Cori wanted me to be one of the girly girls, also known as a debutante but I could never bring myself to do it. The nice thing was that even after everything that happened, Cori didn't really leave me to my solitude. She got me involved with things, and didn't really leave me on my own. She did what Mom used to do, she got involved in the stuff that I loved. Something to share.

There was one thing as I got older to becoming an adult that she didn't like. She didn't want me to go to Uni in London, but I knew it's what I wanted. It was 4 hours away, but I didn't care. I wanted this. I had inherited my stubbornness from my Mom, and Cori knew that, finally backing down to let me go.

There I was, driving down the highway from Blackpool to London. I was going on my own. I was moving by myself; and i loved it.

Photography was an easy choice of profession for me, only because I loved it so much. Also because beautiful thins were always around me.
