"Ashton? Are you ready yet?" Luke knocked on the bathroom door, making Ashton quickly pull up his hood and put on some sunglasses.
"I think so."
Luke opened the door and peeked in, taking in Ashton from head to toe. "Should work."
Ashton let out a sigh off relief as he resisted the urge to itch at the wig he was wearing. It had black straight hair, which was definitely different from his own hair. He had pulled the hood up just in case (and because he liked it) and was wearing dark sunglasses that hid his eyes very well. He had shaved about a week ago, so he had some scruff. Next to that, he was dressed in his usual black jeans and was wearing a normal blueish hoodie you would probably see everyone wear over Luke's favourite sweater. Anything to blend in.
"You know the rules, right?" Luke said as they both walked through the bedroom.
"I do." Ashton mumbled, biting his lip as he saw Luke approach the front door with his keys. Luke was also carrying a bag, which didn't seem to contain much, but he needed some way to take his stuff.
"We're not marrying, babe." Luke looked back at Ashton, smirking and then chuckling. Ashton simply shrugged and watched the blonde unlock the door, getting a giddy feeling.
Luke opened the front door, stepping out first and looking back at Ashton, holding out his hand. Ashton took it, letting Luke pull him outside. Funnily enough, Ashton felt okay with it.
Luke locked the front door and then led Ashton to the car, which stood a little to the right. As Ashton got in the car, he looked out the window at the building. What had appeared to be an apartment, was actually a small house in a forest. Cliché, but it worked, apparently.
Luke got in on the other side, letting Ashton take his bag before starting the car and driving away from the house.
The ride through the forest was silent, but Ashton couldn't help but smile as he looked out of the window. With all the trees passing by and the sky slowly showing, he was amazed.
"It's beautiful here."
"I know, that's why I chose it." Luke smiled, turning onto a real road and driving a little faster.
"How far is it?"
"Just a few minutes down this road."
"We're really that close?"
Luke hummed out a 'yes', making Ashton nod slowly. He then kept his eye out for anything that indicated something was nearing, soon spotting a sign that said welcome. Ashton couldn't read how the town was named and he didn't really care in the moment, even if he kind of should.
He looked out the window at all the things they passed, from the houses to the shops to the random people and cars.
Luke turned the car into a parking lot, finding a spot near the entrance of the supermarket.
"Can I stay in the car?" Ashton asked quietly, turning to look at the blonde. Luke looked back, raising an eyebrow. "You know I can't keep an eye on you that way, right."
"I know, but I promise. I just wanna sit back and listen to the radio."
Luke seemed to consider it, narrowing his eyes a little. "You make a lot of promises."
"Only for you and only to keep them."
"You have kept them so far."
Ashton just nodded, taking Luke's hand in his. "Please. I promise I'll only listen to music on the radio. If anyone will come near I'll pretend to sleep or something."
