I woke about to get up when a voice said, " stay down." "Why, " I ask looking at him. He sets his mask down and laid in bed pulling me to him. "You are not fully rested, " he told me, " you need to rest more. " I groan, I get to sleep more. I snuggle to him not arguing one bit. "Uta," I asked. "Yes, " he said softly. "Yeah, " I giggle, " you seem so serious." "I can assure you I am not dull," he promised, " and I also can assure you that I am no where near dull in bed either." I blush hard making him smile. (Uta pov)

When she fell back asleep I got up not waking her placing her on the bed. I needed to let them know she needs more protection ... Not just me. I left to Touka's coffee shop. I went inside finding it empty, it was closing but they always had a key under the mat. I hear something up stairs and headed that way. In Kaneki's room was Touka and Kaneki. "Touka, " I asked before moving the door open more. "Yes, " she asked coming out of the room closing the door behind her. "(y/n) needs a job here, " I told her. "We don't need anymore help, " she told me before I could finish. "It's for her safety," I told Touka," she feels uncomfortable and I don't think it's best if she stays in one place." "It's a good thing she does so they can't find her,"Touka argued," Better for her to stay in doors then out. " "She can come here before you open. Early so no one can see her, "I told her ," That and you know better than anyone else that it is bad to stay in one location." The memories of defending the old coffee shop flashed through her head I knew it by the look she gave me. "She is being hunted," I said again. "Why should I care, "Touka asked ," it is non of my business." "Because I can't bare to lose anyone else, " I said then see a little red spot at her neck, "he left a love mark." Her eyes widened clearly she didn't know till now. "It's like you can't lose him," I motioned to the door. "What is between me and him doesn't involve you," she said stubbornly. The door opens and Kaneki pulls Touka back to him. "Touka, " he whispered into her ear, " clearly he cares for her." Touka was blushing not looking at me. "Touka it's like me losing -" he couldn't say it as his black hair began to turn white. Touka faced him trying to bring back the real Kaneki. "Okay, " she said suddenly, " she can work here she will be safe. " Kaneki seemed to find himself again and his hair turned black again. Kaneki looks at me and nods. I nod and he looks at Touka. Touka no doubt was worried. "When can she start, " I asked. " tomorrow for sure," Touka said not looking at me but at Kaneki. I left back to the shop. I could smell human flesh, she had woken and woke hungry. I went into the kitchen finding her cleaning up. I hug her from behind kissing her neck. "Uta, " she smiles. "I got you a job there, " I told her. My needs grew I needed her.
