Second Thoughts [ Soonhoon ]

# 6 - For The Best

Before Jihoon could speak another word, Soonyoung interrupts him. "It's okay Jihoon, I know it's my fault. I'm not sure if I'm not straight but don't worry I won't hit on you or something."

Lies. All of that were lies. Soonyoung can't bear to bear to hear it for Jihoon to say it infront of him. What if Jihoon really was awkward because of his sexuality? What if that reason will cause much more trouble in their friendship than it already was? This was better, right? But He would love to hit on Jihoon and have some cuddles and-Ugh, stop that Soonyoung.

Jihoon's hopes were crushed; his thoughts of cofessing was taken aback. And maybe he would'nt attempt on doing it ever again. Jihoon didn't smiled back to the smiling boy infront of him. "L-Let's go home, I felt weak all of a sudden.."

"Welcome home!" Chan greeted them with a huge smile, he was sitting in the sofa. Watching 'Toy story'. He wanted to finish all the movies and none of his hyung's wanted to watch it with him, not that it bothered him anyways.

"Hey Dino...Eh? Where are the others?" Soonyoung said when he saw no one else is around. "They all went out and leave me alone." He said, giving a slight pout that made Soonyoung chuckle. Chan saw Jihoon beside Soonyoung looking gloomy as possible. "Jihoon-hyung! Sit here with me!"

Jihoon declined his offer and said the same thing earlier. "I got weak all of a sudden..I'll take a nap."

Chan tilted his head to look at his naïve hyung-well, both of them actually are. "Y-Yah! I didn't do anything." Soonyoung said when he saw the maknae shooting glares at him.

"You're so dumb sometimes." Chan whispered and Soonyoung heard it quite well. "Why would you say that?" Soonyoung said, confusion took first on him. He was kinda, no, he was worried about Jihoon being gloomy all of a sudden, he wants to take care of him but, he sensed that Jihoon wants his personal space. He doesn't want to invade it. Soonyoung was just a friend after all.

"Huh? What are you saying? I didn't said anything." Chan said and looked innocently at his hyung's face. He doesn't want to spoil the two lovebirds story. He'll just watch it unfold, just like the rest of the members are doing. It was so obvious, the only two were just naïve about it. Soonyoung sighed and sat on the sofa beside the maknae. His mind was tired. He doesn't really want to let Jihoon know about it. Their friendship might be ruined.

"Just a tip, you should be true to yourself once in a while. Someone might steal him from you." Soonyoung looked at Chan with his jaw dropped, Chan just looked at him innocently again just like he did earlier. Soonyoung rolled his eyes after, looks like he won't be getting a reason why is Chan talking some nonsense.

Jihoon groaned when he woke up, his head was aching. Maybe because he slept too much. He stood up and opened the door. When he went downstairs, they were already eating.

"Yah. Why didn't you called me?" Jihoon said and rolled his eyes while he sat on his usual sit, beside Soonyoung. He tried his best not to remember what happened earlier or his mood would just be ruined again.

"We did. But you still kept sleeping!" Seungkwan said and Jihoon remembered it, and just shrugged. "My bad."

They ate in silence once again, having talks here and there. It was actually a de ja vu for the two of them, Soonyoung and Jihoon. Soonyoung thought if he dropped the topic, everything would be back to normal. It was saddening.

"What's with your face dummy?" Jihoon said looking at Soonyoung who was looking like a lost pup. Soonyoung was taken aback at Jihoon's word but smiled at it after some seconds.

"I-I thought you were mad." Soonyoung said and gave a little pout. Jihoon shook his head, "Why would I? My head just really ached that time." He excused, they both smiled and felt the normal atmosphere between them getting back.

'This is for the best.' The two of them thought. Being friends and nothing more. Was it really for the best?
