Chapter 6-The rest of my day

That day when I got out of school, I skateboarded home, and immediately started working on my new mash up. This time I'm using the songs, I Won't Give Up by Jason Mraz, and You and I by Ingrid Michaelson. I was having serious trouble figuring out how to mash them-the words weren't fitting together and they're beats were off. I was starting to get really mad.
"Jesus why won't you work?!?!" I yelled and slammed my computer shut.

"Oh my god! Why would they do this?" I heard someone yell from downstairs. Sounds like I wasn't the only one in my family in the mood to yell tonight.
"What's the matter sweetie?" My dad asked. Of course he hears when Alyssa yells-but the second I get upset, he turns his ears off.
Alyssa and I don't get along very well. In the last few years She hasn't talked to me once . Not that I deserve it though-I haven't talked to her either.
"My annoying home room teacher is making me give the new kid a tour of the school tomorrow even though he's a year younger than me. Because of that, I have to miss free period so I can't get my extra credit work done!" She yelled.
I don't remember who stopped talking to who first. I think it was her. One day, she suddenly decided that I wasn't worth her time. I don't think I could handle her now anyways-my stepmom has sort of changed her completely. Before my mom died she was the perfect mix of girly and sporty-very fashionable, but not afraid to get her hands dirty on the soccer field. Now, she's just clothes, nail polish, and lip gloss. She does care about school but that's the only non fashion related thing she likes-or talks about.
All that I've heard from her lately is complaints-and she wasn't saying them to me though-they were just so loud I could hear them even with my headphones turned all the way up. My poor dad has to deal with my stepmom and her every night. I don't know how he does it.
"Oh well that'll be ok hon, it's only one day. You can do the assignment tomorrow night!" My dad said trying to calm her down.
"Yeah, I guess. It's just so annoying! Like honestly, this kid is 17 years old. He should know how to get around a school!"
"What's his name?" My dad asked. There's my dad for you. Whenever the topic gets too complicated for him he gives up and tries to change the subject.
"Sam or something. But that's not the point! The point is, he's taking my free period away from me!" She yelled. She continued with more loud babbling, but I stopped caring enough to listen.
I got distracted when she mentioned Sam too , because I realized that he was probably going to come up to me tomorrow and ask all sorts of questions again just because I helped him find his class that one time.
He'll probably think that we're some sort of friends now. Great! Just great.

Hey guys!
Sorry I like NEVER update but I don't always have time. I also don't want to update unless I'm in a good writing mood because or else my writing is horrible.
Anyways, thanks for reading!
