-a month later-
Hussain's p.o.v.
"Arey dekho! Koi shayad apne ghar ka raasta bhool gaya hai." I mockingly said while I walked inside the house with Iqra.
"Ha ha!" She said, faking a laugh.
"No seriously. Tumhe aisa toh nahi lagta ke tumhara sirf Qirat se rishta hai?" I asked her. "Jabse woh gayi hai, tum sirf do baar humare ghar aayi ho." I added emphasising sirf.
"Nahi meri jaaan! Exams chal rahe hain..." She said, placing her arm over my shoulder.
"Itna pyaar? Hayeee." I said placing a hand over my heart dramatically which made her laugh.
"Dramebaaz." She laughed and we walked upstairs after she met Ammi and Abba.
"Dekho, malka-e-Iqra aayi hain." I told this to annoy Iqra, walking inside Shehry's room.
"Hey! Exams kaise chal rahe hain?" Shehry asked her, totally ignoring my statement.
"Bohat ache.. Alhumdulillah." She replied. "And Hussain just got badly ignored." She added and they burst into laughter.
"I'm sorry. I did not notice what you said." Shehry said, laughing.
"Bhai bhai ko aise ignore kar rahe hain. Kya banega iss duniya ka?" I said making a sad face makinh Shehry laugh harder. Iqra and I too joined him.
"Tum log baitho, main kuch khaane peene ke liye laata hoon." I told them.
"haan jaldi wapas aao aur mujhe Accounts samjhao." Iqra said, while I was walking outside. "Aur barbecue wale chips zaroor laana." She added, laughing.
"Kyun? Uske baghair tujhe Accounts samajh nai aata?" I asked her with a fake smile.
"Nahi naaa." She said making me laugh.
I shook my head, smiling and walked out of the room.
I walked to the kitchen and took out the bag of chips from the cabinet. I was about to open the fridge when my phone rang. I smiled receving the call and brought the phone next to my ear.
"Assalam alaikum.." I greeted.
"Walaikum assalam" Qirat replied. I could sense the smile in her tone. "Kaise ho?" She added.
"Mazey mein." I replied.
"Bade mazey aarahe hain na mere baghair." She said in a cute, complaining tone which made me chuckle.
"Haan na, bohat mazey." I said, chukling.
"Funny." She said. "Acha suno... I have to talk to you about something." She added.
"Haan bolo, kya baat hai?" I asked her. I smiled as she told me what she had planned for Iqra's that is next month.
"Qirat, that's a great idea! She'll be so happy!" I told her emphasising 'so'.
"Haina?" She excitedly said making me smile again.
We spoke for some time.
"I miss you, Qirat." I said, meaning each word.
