It was the first day of Summer and Marinette finds herself in her dad's shift in the bakery. Busy, Marinette never noticed a boy who entered the bakery. She greeted, grabbed some orders, and repeat. Alya came by earlier and helped out, but she and Nino had some plans for the rest of the days... Though Alya offered to excuse herself early to Nino, Marinerre refused. 'Sometimes, I hate myself' Mari thought as the whole Bakery cleared out. Mari looked at the glass display and saw her reflection. Her hair was all jacked up and her apron have different flavored frosting spilt all over it... It would kill her if any of her closest friends seeing her like that.
"Umm miss?" Someone says from behind. Snapping, Marinette plastered a smile "Oh! Umm! Hello, welcome. What can I get yo-" she got cut off on what she'd just saw... It was Adrien. And he was with Nino. "Oh... Heyy Adrien and- Nino! Hi! Where's Alya?" She was talking to Adrien, but she had to be save from stuttering either way. "She's outside. Say~ aren't you a bit to young be working?" Nino shot a goofy smile at her. Marinette rested her hand over the counter "I was just finishing, and~ summer job! My parents aren't gonna be here ti'll Friday." That gave her a small umph of stress. Adrien on the other hand crossed his arms smiling "well, since your finishing up, how about; joining us for a small movie?". That freaked her out: especially when she looked like a rugged person. "Oh umm, I don't know... I shouldn't. Especially when looking like--- like this." She gestures to all of her. "Oh it's fine, we can wait. And can we have some cookies?" Adrien says quietly. Alya came running inside "Oh my Gosh! Mari you coming?!" All eyes were on her "The movie is great!" Marinette sighed "I will."
Everyone exchanged smiles as Marinette placed down her apron. "Go ahead and grab some grub .. The cookies are on me. Feel free to wait upstairs if it pleases you" she paused "just. Don't enter my room." She demads slowly and gently then zoomed off upstairs. As she entered her room, Tikki quickly went to her and gave her a small face hug "Mari! Ready to transform?" Tikki has her game face on for sure. Marinette huffed "more like, transform into good clothes, me and the gang are going to a movie... And I look like a mess." Tikki gave a small laugh and said "Maybe it's time for upgrade, you do have new and fresh clothes." Marinette quickly snapped to Tikki. "What are you proposing?" She led out a smirk as she placed her hands on her waist.
Tikki giggled and went past her closet and took out a small box "remember that your grandmother gave you a small gift when she came back from Japan? Maybe you should wear it." By the weight, Tikki descended but Marinette grabbed the box and set it down her desk. Contemplating on it, she rested her shin on her knuckles "I don't know Tikki," "You wanna impress Adrien right?" Tikki offered. Marinette sighed "ok fine, your coming with me though."
On the bottom of her room sat the three friends who are currently waiting for her. Alya rubbed her temples "wow, she's taking time up there... Should I go check on her?" Nino pulled down his earphones and rested them on his shoulders "she's taking time in there? Hmm. Maybe it's her hair. I mean- having flour on your hair is pre-" "Ehem." Alya faked cough to cut Nino off. Nino scratched the back of hid head embarrassed "Sorry babe" Marinette stood behind the couch where Alya , Nino and Adrien are. Soon then, Adrien spoke : "oh c'mon guys, give Marinette some time." Marinette felt that small tingle of excitement inside of her roaring up. But controlling she played it cool...
"Thank you Adrien. Hey guys! What do you think?" She said twirling around. The three friends turned to look at her and drooled.
"M-Mari is that Y-You?" Alya felt her glasses cracking on how majestic her sight was.
"Woah," Nino called out as Alya nudged him making a small "hmp!" Out of his mouth.
Adrien, on the other hand was mesmerized. "Wow, Marinette, you look-"

"Thanks guys, we ready to go?" Marinette smiles widely as everyone stood there, blushing sheepishly. Even Adrien! She wanted to laugh a bit but said:
"Hey, relax guys, this may be a good dress, but don't worry. I'm still Mari."
"I'm happy about that," Adrien stammers "cuz I like Marinette more."
