"Mari! Wake up!! Wake up!!" A tiny little voice pushed her cheek upwards which alerted her.
"Wha?! What Happened? Is there a problem? Tikki spo-" Marinette snapped quickly; jumping out her bed as she plastered her game face on.
Tikki stopped her by closing her mouth "woah, before you say anything, there's NO emergency!" She laughs.

Marinette placed down her knuckles and checked her phone. "It's barely 8am Tikki. School doesn't start ti'll 10." She paused sitting down on her bed "why on earth are you waking me up?"
With that, the kwami chimed in excitement "oh Mari don't tell me you forgot!"
Marinette shook her head slightly raising a brow at the small kwami "Tikki, I have no idea what your talking about."

Tikki led out another cute laugh "oh silly... HAPPY BIRTHDAY MARI!"

With that, Marinette thought for a while and then jumped up and down in excitement "OH MY GOD OH MY GOD OH MY GOOODDD!!!" She says.
"It's my birthday!!!" She added smiling widely and hugged Tikki "Tikki it's my birthday!! "
"Hehe yeah! I can't believe you forgot!" Tikki hugged back as she flew infront of her.

Marinette scratched her chin and does some thinking "wait," she began walking down from her bunk bed and to her main room. Taking a glance on her calendar, she spoke "but~ how'd you know it's my birthday? I haven't even logged on my calendar."

The little red kwami led out a giggle "Kwami instincts."
Marinettr gave her a small self assuring smile then got ready.

At school.

"Everyone! Make sure the Gym looks amazing! It's only once a year when Marinette turns 16!" Alya yells out to everyone as they all gave a thumbs up.... All other than Chloe tho... She just replied with a small eye roll and returned to polishing her nails "what do I care anyway? I mean, it's not like Marinette has done anything for me." She says extending her hands away from her to see her manicure.

"Well, at least she does something!" Alya held her clipboard on her left arm.
Sabrina narrowed her eyes "do you even know who your talking too?" She placed her hand on her hip.
"If you mean, a bratty snob, then yeah. I know who I'm talking too." Alya turned and returned back to organizing.
Adrien for one, helped Alya to organize "Hey Alya, we had some problems with the banner... We need more paint." He says.
"Well, there's a few in the art room....  Hopefully we could get some ti'll Marinette comes." Rose came holding up a box filled with balloons .

"And I still can't  believe the principal even allowed you all to use the gym JUST FOR MARINETTE." She jazzed her hands dramatically.
Adrien and Alya crossed there arms smirking.
"Well I guess someone's jealous."  They bugged  "It's because he admire Marinette's hardwork to school and kindness to everyone... Unlike SOME PERSON." Alya flips her hair mocking Chloe.
"Hmp! Let's go Sabrina," she flips her hair as they both walked out the door furious.
Alya and Adrien exchanged glances until Juleka came crashing in "MARINETTE'S HERE! EVERYONE, HIDE!"
Everyone rushed to the gym unsuspected.

Marinette came walking in the school premises smiling. Hoping some few Happy Birthdays from her lovely classmates... Of course, for sure, Chloe isn't gonna accept that offer. But she'd learned to live with it.
But in her surprise, nobody was around and that, was a bad sign. Was she late? Was there even any classes? Was all she could think of.

"H-Hello? Anybody here?" Her voice echoed to the dull walls of the building.
And no answer reached her... So she ran up her classroom where she saw Sabrina and Chloe. She felt a little relieved but weirded out a bit.... "Hey Chloe, Sabrina."
"Oh great, Marinette Dupain Cheng is here!" She crossed her arms.
Marinette raised her brow "yes I'm here. But where's anyone else?"

"Oh ummm!" Chloe thought of a plan....
But it may be risky... "School's out today... We were just here because Sabrina forgot her geometry homework.."
That made Marinette curious... "Oh really? Are you sure it's not YOUR homework?" She'd smirk.
Chloe rolled her eyes "okay fine whatever."
Marinette suddenly felt sad. She wasn't really informed there's no class today, she WAS highly looking forward to see Alya and the others...

"Well, I guess I could call Alya and see if she knows." She said pulling out her phone. Chloe, on the other hand walked beside her and stopped her "OH NO! No need to do that,"
"Why not?" Marinette narrowed her eyes as Chloe held Mari's phone high.
"Because! She and her dad went fishing!" Chloe smiled.
Marinette was more curious as ever "since when did Alya talked to you, and when did she ever gone fishing?"
"I KNOW RIGHT?! It's just so unlikely of her." Sabrina added.

"Okay then, I'll just call Adrien." She said reaching out for her phone.
"He's at fencing practice." Chloe shots
"Doesn't he take fencing practices here?" Marinette asked .
"Oh no! Today is very special! He's taking fencing at the---- stadium, yeah!" She bragged and paused quietly
"How'd you know?" She asks leaning on a desk.
Chloe smirked "girlfriend instincts."
Yeah right. Thought Mari... At least we put all into head that he's never gonna date Chloe. Unless ofcourse, death threats.

"Okay, how abo-" Mari got caught off.
"You know, since it's the teacher's day off , the students too. So go and run along... We'll finish up here." Chloe shooed giving back her phone.
Marinette grasped on her phone tight then stomped outside the school.
A breathe escaped her mouth turning into a sigh then walked home.

At school

Alya walked beside Chloe who is currently on the school's gate ark. "What is Marinette doing?? Why is she going home?" And that alerted everyone to walk out the gym and looked at the disappointed Marinette.
Adrien looking suspicious, he asks "yeah, it's pretty weird. I mean- isn't she curious why were not around? "
"There are a thousands of possibilities Adrikins. I guess she thought of that!" She laughed with Sabrina.
Millen looked at Chloe mad  "WHAT DID YOU DO?" She called out from her little voice.

"I? Do anything? Hump! No way!" She flips her hair to hit someone in the face.
"THAT'S NOT TRUE!" Someone yelled from behind.
Chloe snapped "WHO IS THE BRAT WHO SAID THAT?!"
"Me!" Nathaniel stepped up as he walked down the stairs vigorously "and you! You convinced Marinette we all went on a vacation because of a day without classes!" He accused as everyone looked madly at Chloe and Sabrina.
"AND WHY WOULD ANYONE BELIEVE YOU ?"
"Because, just like me, i tell the truth!" He says.

"Hey! Stop fighting!" Adrien stooped up "we'll give Marinette a party okay? Just maybe , not now..."
Chloe squinted "how about never."
"SHUT UP!" Yelled Alya "THANKS TO YOU; MARINETTE IS DISAPPOINTED!"
"Your welcome... But! You shouldn't be talking like that! Especially, to me....." She says dramatically "my daddy's a mayor!"

"Ughhh!" Everyone groaned...
Chloe and Sabrina walked out in frustration.

"What are we gonna do now?" Alix says

Adrien reassures everyone "we'll move this party later... Tonight! Just- Me and Alya are gonna explain everything to Marinette ... Don't be sad if all your hard work will be nothing... We'll just make it a masquerade party! So be ready by tonight."
Everyone breathe a sigh of relief.
