Chat held up a small box in his hands and started to pace in the familiar rooftop of a certain bakery. Soon enough, he jumped down to the ground and de transformed into the famous, Adrien Agreste.
"I don't know what your so worried about kid." Plagg shook his head at the worried teen "It's just asking someone out! Get a grip."
"Not helping." Adrien sighed and ran a hand through his hair "And this is not just asking someone out Plagg. It's Marinette we're talking about here! She's really sweet and gentle. Yet, I don't know if she'll take it for granted."
"I don't know about you humans.... Why does being Chat Noir gave you so much confidence.. And Adrien, on the other hand, don't get me started." Plagg sighed as the kid rolled his eyes "And as Chat Noir, your too confident when as Adrien, you were a complete mess." He ranted.
Adrien stared at the box once more and sighed "I don't know plagg. Maybe-"
"Adrien." Plagg stopped "You've been aching about this all morning! The least thing you can do is give me some slack and stop talking to Marinette's picture all night long."
Adrien bit his lip then nodded ...

Plagg seems upset about this.

"And Adrien." Plagg scoffed "Don't mess up this time."
Adrien smiled softly at the kwami and nodded "Plagg! Claws out!"

"Chat! Where on earth are you taking me?!" Marinette asked confusedly as two hands hovered over her eyes. It was only about 30 minutes ago Chat wasn't himself yet managed to do everything he planned out through the date. "Chat I'm serious" she added as he removed his hands from her and quickly turned her around to let her eyes meet him.
"Marinette," Chat started "My princess. You look beautiful tonight."
Marinette playfully rolled her eyes then giggled "says the guy who puts tux over a suite!" She shots as Chat chuckled along.
"Well princess- if you must know, if I ever came to you de transformed, you might NOT  resist my gorgeousness." He wiggled his eyebrows as Marinette scoffed a "yeah right! Dream on Noir."
"But hey, I didn't take you all the way here to talk about my tux."
"Exactly, where is here ?" Marinette tilted her head.
Chat fought the urge to laugh and gestured to a garden. It was a radiant garden even through the mists of the night. And it was all protected by a white gate.... Lampposts surrounded it with more lights inside... Chat opened the gate as Marinette nodded and dashed in. She gaze around the place --- like she was in a mystical garden! She gawked at it like there was no tomorrow as plants were everywhere. Especially flowers. Chat chuckled behind her "You look adorable when you see my surprises Princess." He says "Maybe I should surprise you more often."
"Not bad Kitty.... This is pretty cool." She says as she lingered her fingers over beautiful Sampaguitas.
Chat replayed the memory in his mind as he stared at the dazed girl. He grins.

Flashback

"Ready?" Gabriel laughed onto his wife's ears .
"Where are you even takin me you two?"  Mrs. Agreste giggled as a little boy tugged on his mother's dress. Little Adrien.
"Adrien. Would tell mummy about where we're going?" Mrs. Agreste smiled warmly to her son as Adrien glanced at his father who puts a single finger over his lips with a silly face. Adrien giggled and nodded like an obedient son he is "sorry mum. But daddy says it's a secret!" He laughed as she did too.
The family drove off into a wonderful space. But before Mrs. Agreste could say anything Gabriel's hands hovered over her eyes like so. She giggled as they walked  forward-- every step of the way, curiosity welling up upon Adrien's beloved mother.
"Tada!" Gabriel and Adrien said in union "Happy Valentines day!"
Mrs. Agreste placed a hand over her lips smiling surprisingly. Her two boys felt satisfaction as the lady wandered around the garden--- her eyes twinkling with wonder. They sat on the middle of garden where the bench stood firmly.
"You both did this for me?" Mrs. Agreste placed the nodding Adrien onto her lap "This is very beautiful. Thank you."
"Everything for you mommy." Adrien snuggled onto his mother .
"But why are you treating my with valentines my dear boy?" She looked over to her happy son.
"Well, daddy said I was too young. So I decided to do it for you! Besides, he told me that if I ever did have a girl, he'd say 'good on you son.' " Adrien mimicked as his father ruffled his hair.
"Well guess what." His mother replied with her shallow yet gracious voice . Adrien's eyes quickly gaze up to her's. "Someday you'll find the one. And ti'll then, you will take her here like you did to me...." She says as she nosed to nose with her lovely little son.
"She'll be very pretty." Adrien smiled and blushed "I promise."
"I know she will my son." His father patted him on the back "But there's more to it than beauty."
"Your father's right Adrien..." His mother added "Just like to butterflies over there..." She pointed towards a purple butterfly eating away on the flower's gentle sap "see those?"
"Yes?" Adrien nodded .

"Well you see Adrien. Those butterflies might be pretty, but behind that beauty, there will always be a hideousness.... Something that makes people reguardless of what they feel or do.... People focuses on what they look."
"Huh?" Adrien tilted his head sidewards .
"Let's just say.... Someday.... You'll find a beautiful butterfly in your life...." She says warmly and removed her necklace carefully and placed it on his hands "And she'll not only be filled with beauty.... She'll stand out from the rest.... And she'll be here." She pointed to his chest "In your heart."
Adrien's gaze looked at the necklace in his hands then looked back at his mother "But mommy.... I don't think I NEED a butterfly."

"You'll get it one day my love.... You will...."

End of flashback

"Earth to Chat Noir!" Marinette calls out waving her hands infront of him "are you there?"
Chat quickly shook his head in response then smiled awkwardly to his princess "sorry princess... I zoned out a bit." With that he led out an awkward laugh.
"I noticed." She giggled and nodded "Well, this was fun Chat. I love this night."
"I know you do." He smirked "But Marinette, I'd like to speak to you about something."
"Okay sure. What is it?" Marinette smiled warmly at him... Making her heart burst.
"Well Mari... I uh," he took out the box he had earlier and showed it to her "I was wondering-"
"Chat Noir your better not propose or I swear." Mari pouted with her eyes furrowed making the hero slyly laugh.
"N-No Mari.. You've taken it the wrong way." He says and scratched the back of his neck blushing.
"Okay that's a relief." She glanced down at the box then back to him "Well then, you need some help with your lady?"
"M'lady? No. I wanted to speak to you... Not her....."
"But aren't you madly in love with her?" She placed a hand on her hip then raised a brow.
"Well yes," Chat rolled his eyes smiling "But Marinette. That was before." He continued "Before I realized that I didn't even get the chance for her... She wasn't even in to me. You can say we aren't that close even for a day, yet, I loved her. But I was wrong. I was nothing compared to her. She was a true superhero while I'm just a super loser who comes up with stupid cat puns. I just- Marinette....." He opened the box and sighed "You were there for me when I needed you and whenever I needed you-"
"And what if I wasn't." Marinette interrupted stiffly.
Chat widened his eyes at her interruption but it's time he'd think to himself that there's no stopping this one.
"I'd love you either way my princess." He answers making her slightly blush which MADE him blush as well.
"But the true reason I fell inlove with you is because, out of all my damsels in distress, you stand out--- even from M'lady." He says "So Mari.... Will you be ... My princess furreal... And be my girlfriend?"
Marinette's heart felt like fluttering....

"Just kidding! Of course Chat! I will be your girlfriend!" Marinette cheers and ran into her prince's arms.
Chat sighed the breath of relief and hugged back. And before you know it, they kissed... It was a long... And something that stops the time from going any further...
The new couple pulled away smiling and Chat took the necklace that was from the box "here princess ... Let me help you." He says warmly and got behind her to put it on. Marinette gawked at the necklace .
"It was my mother's." He said as she gasped "Don't worry. I promised her myself that I'd give it to the girl who actually deserves them." He smiled at his princess as she held the pendant "three sa-"
"Three Sampaguitas." Chat smiled "those were my mum's favorite here in the garden."
Marinette didn't hesitate to kiss him... And he didn't know to himself how long Marinette longed for that kiss. And after her lips met his, it felt like Chat have the same deep regards as well.
