Day 11

“Hey, how was your holiday?” he asks her, smiling.

She smiles back and replies, “It was really fun. We found out my cousin's pregnant. Which is great, but sad because the father is no where to be seen.” she shrugs but continues, “But that's fine because I'll be there, and I'll be the greatest aunt she'll ever have.”

He raises his eyebrow and asks, “How are you sure that the baby will be a ‘she’?”

She clicks her tongue while clapping, “I just know it.”

“Well, I think we still have a month and a few weeks before classes starts. So let's make the best of it.”

They both continue talking and telling each other stories about their holiday until he finally has to tell her that he was moving away in three months.

Day 12

“Talk to me, please?” he asks her desperately while he knocks loudly on her bedroom door.

He doesn't hear her respond, “Please, Alishia. I know you're upset, but I'm just as upset as you are. I didn't want to move, it was Mum's decision. I didn't have any say in it. I tried everything just to convince her to let me stay here, but she still didn't budge. I'm so sorry,”

Still no response, he sighs heavily and leaves. But before he leaves, he tells her, “If you decide to talk to me, you know where I'll be.”

With those words, he left the crying girl alone.
