Chapter 23. The Coma

Elly's P.O.V.
Ashley was in a coma. And I had no idea when she would wake up. When I saw her, I told her that I would visit every day. But, I have to wait til after school. I don't think I can wait that long. Three classes passed by already. I didn't pay attention to anything the teachers said. All I thought about was Ashley. It was finally time to go to lunch. I saw Nikki at a table. She was looking down, she didn't get any lunch, and she looked upset. "Hey, what's up?" I asked, although I think I already know. "Well, ash isn't here. And there's nothing to do." She responded. I nodded in agreement. "Want to come see her after school with me." U asked, she looked up, smiled and nodded her head. We went out to recess and sat in the field, Adiealine came over to us. And she sat, "hey sorry about Ashley. Is she okay?" She apologized and asked. "Not exactly. She's in a coma. And her face and body us all beat up, she was stabbed in her arm twice and had about five stabs into her sides. Her face was swollen, and bruised. She had cuts everywhere. She looked horrible. I feel really bad." I explained, and she looked at me with teary eyes. "Its going to be ok. She'll be fine. Just try to stay by her side." She stated, I smiled. And nodded my head. She smiled with me and pulled me into a hug. The whistle blew, we stood up. And walked over to the wall, where we always go. Everyone lined up, and started to head inside the school. We walked in last, Adiealine went to her class. And me and Nikki went to our class, which was art. When we got in, all we did was sit, we didn't do any work today. We went to third and fourth period. I couldn't wait til fifth period, the last period of the day. We have seven periods each day. I waited and it was finally fifth period. It was so boring. But I just DAT, writing and drawing in my art notebook. The bell rang for us to leave. I found Nikki. And we walked outside together. I saw my mom, and Nikki got in with me.

She took us to the hospital to see Ashley. I ran in. "Excuse me. What's your name. Who are you here to see." The lady at the counter asked. "My name is Elicia Ramirez, this is Natalia Gafford. We're here to see Ashley Estrada." I said, she typed in her computer and said, "ok, she's in room 13B." I smiled and as I ran to look for the room I said, "thank you!" She smiled back and said, "your welcome." We looked around and finally saw her room. The one that read 13B, we walked in slowly opening the door. She looked peaceful, she just layed there. Not moving or doing anything. She had so many different things in her. I covered my mouth with one hand and cried. I sat in the chair next to her, and Nikki sat on the other side. I put my head on her stomach and cried there. Nikki grabbed her hand. "Wake up. Please wake up." She kept repeating. The thing was getting on my nerves. It kept beeping. But, very slowly. It scared me, to see that it wasn't going faster. I could hear it slowing down even more. I sat up, looked at Nikki. It didn't stop but it wouldn't go up. I pressed the call button. "Hello, I need a nurse. Please." I said fastly, I was breathing quickly in and out through my mouth. I ran back to Ashley. "No no no. Stay with me. Stay strong. Don't go, not yet. Keep fighting." I said to her, with tears streaming down my face faster. A nurse burst in. "What's wrong?!" She asked quickly and a little loud. "The thing. Its slowing down." The nurse ran over to Ashley and started to push on her chest. I fell to the floor and cried. It started to beep normally again. "I think you should wait outside for a while." The nurse said, I nodded my head and Nikki who was crying too, helped me out to the waiting room. I thought for a little. "Nikki, I'm going to find Christy and her sister. I will bring them together and have them perform a spell to help Ashley." I explained what I was thinking to Nikki. "Elly I don't think that's a good idea." She looked at me with a worried look on her face. "If I have to die. I will. Ash doesn't deserve to die." I said, but she grabbed my arm. "She's not going to die. And you won't either. I'm not letting you go anywhere." She said, but I looked at her angrily. "You have to let me do this." I tried and tried to change her mind. But she still disagreed with it. I gave up and sat without talking. I saw the nurse coming to us. I ran up to her. "Is she going to be okay? Is she alright?" I asked panicked. The nurse gave me a sad look which made my hopes go down, she nodded her head no. I opened my mouth in shock, I looked down, and cried loud. Everyone look at me. I fell down and cried in my hands. "NOOO!" I yelled. A little girl walked to me. "Are you ok?" She asked. I smiled and nodded my head yes. She smiled and hugged me. Then she ran back to her mom. I kept my smile, as I looked at the little girl. I finally had the courage to say, "I'm ready to see Ashley, now." They let me go see her. I walked in. I sat next to her and cried again.
