Chloe's POV

This is it. My final goodbyes for Ashton, my family, and everyone else. "Ms. Tomlinson? Are you ready?" Vanessa keeps checking on me every few minutes, thinking I can't handle myself. Sure, I'm not okay, but then again, I never really was. "If you ever need anything, you have my number, you know where I'm at." "Yes I know Vanessa, don't worry, I can handle myself."

That's the thing though. I can't handle myself, let alone another person. I just have to act strong. I can't let anyone know about the problems I have, it only adds onto their problems and that's the last thing I would ever want.

"Bye Vanessa," I went in for a hug after we got Taylor strapped into her car seat. "Bye Chloe, what about Ashton?" I've been waiting for that to come up, "I've got that handled. If he swings by just tell him I went home, okay?" "Alright, what if he doesn't leave?" "Just kick him out, don't contact me at all until you know hes out of there." "Sure can do, have a safe trip."

I waved and closed my car door, starting my engine up.

Where will I even go?

I walked into my house one last time, only grabbing my essentials, including my little kit for when I have problems.

I at least owe it to him to tell him where I could be at, so I pulled out a pen and paper.

Dear Ashton,

You're probably freaking out by now, just know that I am safe. So is Taylor. I just couldn't sit here and think about all the mistakes I've made, I needed to get out of here, alone. I'm sorry Ashton, if you want to see Taylor, I can maybe text Elena to get her and bring her to you or something, I already got a new phone with a new number, so don't try contacting me. I'm gonna start fresh with this little angel.

You and I loved each other, but then you broke my heart. I'm sorry I couldn't handle all of this, and don't worry. Your secret is safe with me, I know, so don't act oblivious if we ever meet again. This is for the best Ashton. Don't you dare ever think I would be doing any of this to hurt you, I couldn't stand doing that, you don't deserve it. Just like I don't deserve you.

I mentally thanked Luke for his take on this, but couldn't help but get offended from the other shit.
