"Uh...Hi?" I mumble, tripping over my words while looking the boy in the eye with a sheepish look spreading across my face.
I can only make out the outlines of his features, as there's barely any light apart from the distant glow of some street lamps and it looks as if he has dark brunette hair and a defined face structure, I can't make out the colour of his eyes or the shape of his nose yet though."I said who are you and what the fuck are you doing in my backyard?" He repeats with a sharp curt tone laced into his aggressive yet soft voice.
"Uh I- I fell over the fence, I didn't know there was a garden here." I stutter my face crumpling in humiliation as he cocks an eyebrow at me.
"I'm M-Meredith...I think." God why did I just say that 'I think'?? Jeez Meredith what a first impression, saying you aren't sure what your name is in front of a probably cute boy."You think? Ha never heard that before. Well 'Meredith...I think' do you mind explaining why the hell you decided to sit your fat ass down on my fence at precisely..." He drifts off, glancing down at his wrist watch before continuing "11:43pm?"
He smirks laughing to himself."Oi dickhead who are you calling a fat ass? I apologise I sat up there to escape from a party, I thought this was some kind of forest not your majesty's precious backyard." I snapped back making sure to glare at him even though he most likely won't see in this darkness.
"Feisty are we? I like 'em like that. But really, who even escapes parties like you have to be a pretty tragic person to do that. I bet I could show you a good time though." He retorts, that undeniably irritating yet annoying smirk still plastered on his face.
"Ew no way you dirty prick." I huff crossing my arms over my chest in anger until realising that diverted his attention to my boobs which were looking significantly bigger squeezed together in my dress, so I hastily drop my arms.
"Who said it it was dirty? I just meant fun, ya know? Exploring, adventuring doing things you'll remember. I'm not dirty like that. Clearly you've just got a dirty mind." He replies, looking me in the eye...at least I think he is. He sounded pretty sincere, but of course he threw in the smirk at the end. I suddenly feel embarrassed it was wrong of me to assume he was being dirty minded just because he's a teenage boy, and just being proved wrong added to the humiliation."Oh..yeah. Sorry." I mutter.
"Uh, what's your name? I just wondered because you have mine and all but I realised I never got yours." I continue mustering up a smile."Corey. The names Corey Haim. As for the apology, it's accepted I know girls can't resist guys like me so I understand okay?" He grins, a hint of mock sympathy in his voice towards the end.
"Gawd ya know you're a real asshole right?"
"Baby, I ain't the asshole because I ain't the one that trespassed into an innocent teenage boy and his families garden at 11:43pm."
"Right, listen here will ya?" I sigh, running a hand through my hair for what seems like the 50th time tonight.
"I didn't mean to fall into your garden at 11:43pm."
"Sure you didn't."
"Shut up will ya?"
"No."
[A/N- I'm really excited for the next chapter as I have plans to relate it to something similar to what happened in license to drive (they won't go on a date though) and I've got a plot down. Leave any feedback or negative/positive comments as I'd love to hear from you guys what I can improve on and stuff. Also if you guys could vote and stuff that'd make me really happy😊 Love ya xx]
