Danny Tanner was supposed to be played by John Posey rather than Bob Saget and they filmed the pilot episode with John Posey, but it didn't air. (If you have the actual discs of the first season, they have the pilot episode with John Posey as a featured video) I think that Bob Saget is a better Danny Tanner, because he is tall and has the dad look, but John Posey is shorter and doesn't seem to be a father figure.
