Dave Coulier (Joey Gladstone) stole the catchphrase "Cut it out!" from his childhood friend Mark Cendrowski, who now directs The Big Bang Theory. Coulier first used the line on a Nickelodeon show called Out of Control, and he later decided to work it into Full House too.
