Last night was the eliminations and it had never been so stressful for us. The song we sand was shorter and that made less time to put emotion into our singing. In reality, you may have a good voice, but if you don't put emotion into your song, there's no point in you singing at all. All the judges care about is if your dedicated and fit their descriptions.
Niall and I were now walking around Doncaster, looking for a place to eat. We were both in disguises to avoid the fans and paps. I was wearing a outfit similar to the one I wore out of the hospital, a coral shirt, white capris, coral fringe sandals and white-rimmed sunglasses. Niall had a blue hoddie, grey beanie, and grey jeans on with sunglasses covering his face, even in the middle of fall, when it wasn't' that hot outside.
None of the fans know about the two of us, and we plan on keeping it that way until I'm off the X-Factor, which was only a few more eliminations till it was over. We don't know how far we will go, but we're Simons last hope. His last person was Jordan, who got eliminated last night. I can safely say that I didn't see her going anytime soon.
"What do you want to eat?" Niall asked me in a deep voice, trying to keep attention away from us in the big crowd.
"Hmmm, food. Food is good," I put my finger on my chin like I was thinking. He rolled his eyes but couldn't hide the amused expression on his face. He lightly shoved me, but me being the clumsy person I am, actually fell. His hand grabbed mine before I fell and he started laughing.
"Not funny! I could have died!" I brushed off my capris with my free hand. He just stood there, in the middle of the sidewalk, laughing his head off at me. I sighed and pulled him along. He was still laughing until he saw a building in front of us.
"We're eating there." He pointed towards a large building with huge glass windows. The sign above it said 'Nando's'.
"What's Nando's?" I asked him. His jaw dropped as he looked at me in shock. I just giggled and shut his mouth, he let it fall open again.
"How are you my girlfriend and we haven't gone here before?!" he exclaimed, dragging me towards the restaurant. I laughed and followed behind him. He walked into the building and I could immediately smell chicken. Niall walked up to the guy at the front and asked for a booth in the back and we followed him.
"What can I start you all off with to drink?" he pulled out a little notepad from his pocket.
"Water, thanks." I placed my order. Niall looked at me with pleading eyes.
"Jamie, I know you don't like alcohol, but do you mind if I get a beer?" he asks me. I sigh and nod. He beams at me and orders his beer. The waiter smirked at him before leaning down and whispering in my ear.
"You've got him whipped. Nice job." And then he walked off, leaving me laughing and Niall sitting there confused.
"What did he say?" Niall asked me, raising an eyebrow. I just shook my head, still giggling. I was getting weird looks from the people around us. He just looked at me strangely before handing me one of the menus that was with his. I thanked him and started looking through the menu.
"What's good here?" I asked, looking up. Niall smiled at me and took my menu.
"I'll order for you, okay?" I nod and he smiled again. We start talking about everything and nothing. The waiter comes with our drinks and asked to take our orders.
"Two orders of the PERi-PERi Chicken please." he said to him. The waiter nodded and took the menus.
"What's Peri-Peri Chicken?" I asked him.
"Oh, just the best dang thing to ever be made!" he exclaimed. Now it was his turn to get weird looks. He shrugged them off and started drinking his beer. I don't get how he likes that stuff, I tasted alcohol once in my life and I hated it, but oh well, his problem, not mine.
"So, what song you guys singing next?"
"Well, we're not sure. We're thinking about Rolling In The Deep, by Adele." he nodded, still drinking the nasty stuff. He motioned for me to try some but I stuck my tongue out at it, causing him to chuckle.
"I like that one, you'll blow the crowds away if you sing it," he said.
"Aww, thanks. It's between that and Taylor Swift's new song, We Are Never Getting Back Together."
"Eww, no. Do Adele." he said, gagging when I said Taylor Swift.
"What do you have against Taylor Swift?"
"Harry fancies her. I don't that will happen for a while," he chuckled. I laughed as the waiter placed our chicken in front of us.
"Thank you," I said to him. He winked at me and walked off. I rolled my eyes and Niall groaned.
"This is why I didn't want to go on a date where i'm in disguise and nobody realizes I'm your boyfriend!" he threw his head back.
"Niall, he realizes we're dating, I just don't think he cares." It's true. Before, the waiter had said I 'had him whipped,' so he must know that we're dating. Maybe he's just one of those idiots who don't really care and just want girls to like him, no matter who they're with.
"Ugh, idiot. Oh well! Dig in, it's great," he said, digging in to his own chicken. I giggled watching him eat, it was funny how enthusiastic he is about food.
I cut off a small part of the chicken and Niall looked us, watching me as I slowly ate it. I put the chicken in my mouth and it was like a bomb of deliciousness went off in my mouth. I've never had chicken this good, and I've had a lot of chicken in my life.
"This is amazing!" I said in between bites. Niall grinned proudly and returned to his own food.
"I don't know how you lived so long without Nando's in your life, you poor, deprived girl." He shook his head sadly and set me off into another fit of laughter. He looked down to see his beer was empty. He waved the waiter over, who came shuffling over.
"I'd like a Coke, please." I looked up at Niall, who was handing the guy the beer bottle. He looked back at me. "What?"
"Why did you switch your drink?"
"Eh, I didn't need that much. Plus, I know me drinking makes you uncomfortable." he shrugged like it was no big deal. It's true, alcohol does make me uncomfortable, I don't know why though. I guess I just don't like seeing people drunk.
"So, umm...Jamie? There's something I need to tell you..." Niall grabbed my hand from across the table. I nodded, my mouth full of chicken. "Umm, I can't stay for your next performance...tour is starting again..." he trailed off again.
I swallowed the bite of chicken in my mouth. "Niall, it's okay."
"Okay?" he looked at me confused.
"Niall, we're in the same boat now. We both have responsibilities when it comes to singing now. I have to finish the X-Factor up, and you've got to go on tour for another 4 and a half months. I'm not mad, because I have things to distract me from missing you this time. Sure, it will hurt, but we can do it. We've done it before." He smiles at me brightly and we finished our meal quickly, heading back to his hotel.
I know I said I wasn't mad, and I'm not mad at Niall. I'm mad at the fact that he would be gone again. Everything I said was true, I won't be as hurt as I was last time, but it will still hurt. And now, I have that one word bouncing around in my head.
Tour
