We was in our room for a while until Jake came to get us. We followed him downstairs to the kitchen. Apparently it was nine o'clock and the boys wanted to have dinner. They eat late.
We sat at the table and as the food was sat in front of me, I realised how hungry I was. I was starving and I didn't even realise it. Strange.
I'm always hungry and will always realise it. It's weird that I didn't today. Probably because of being kidnapped. Being worried, scared, and, now, meeting Nikki and wanting to help her out when I get out.
I didn't have any second thoughts about eating this time. I was starving.
Nikki looked at me like I was crazy. I guess she's having the same reaction that I had when I came here. That they poisoned it or something.
I continued eating and didn't even stop to think about what I was eating. I had... I don't even remember. There isn't anymore left from what they made and u already ate all of mine.
Nikki finally started eating her food. I guess she realised that, since I want dead yet, it was okay to eat. She had spaghetti.
I just realised that I ate it so fast that I didn't even get to actually taste it. I haven't ate since this morning. That was around ten it eleven. A.m.
The boys was talking the whole time but I wasn't even listening until I heard my name.
"Brooke," Jake said. "Brooke!"
"Oh," I said,"sorry. I was... Dazing. I was just thinking."
"About what?" Sam asked.
"Oh," I said," nothing. Just..." I didn't know what to say. They all stared at me. Waiting for an answer. "I was thinking about going outside." I lied.
Why did I lie about that, I thought. All I was thinking about was eating.
"Oh," Jake said," well, that will never happen."
"Why?" I asked.
"Because the last time you went out without permission and you know how bad that ended for you," he said and Sam smirked.
"Whatever," I said.
"Brooke!" That was a warning. Jakes warning. His warning voice.
"Sorry," I said," it slipped."
"Well don't let to happen again."
We all sat in silence until the boys got up. Nikki and I decided to do the dishes. We loaded the dishwasher and started it.
"Are the boys really as harsh as you describes them?" Nikki asked.
"Yeah," I said,"but I'm not sure of that's just an act or if that's real. You never know, they could be total sweethearts on the inside."
"Yeah, but does that usually happen when people are kidnapped?"
"Sometimes," I said,"but most of the time... No. Almost never unless it's in a book to a movie."
"Oh."
We stood there for a minute until I asked her a question that I just realised.
"How old are you?"
She looked at me. "I just turned 17."
"Oh," I said," then you're not that much older than me. But why did you ask if it's always like that when you get kidnapped?"
"Well," she said,"I isn't really study that kind of stuff... Or even read it for that matter. It always disturbed me. Just to think about girls being kidnapped made me so mad. It made me have mixed emotions. But, that doesn't matter anymore, because now I'm kidnapped."
I didn't know what to do or what to say so I walked toward the kitchen. Nikki followed me.
We walked into the living room and looked around.
"Where are the boys?" Nikki asked.
"I don't know," I said. "They are probably out somewhere."
"But I didn't here a door."
"Then they are in their rooms," I started walking toward my room.
"Hey," Nikki said," where are you going?"
"Umm," I started,"I'm going to my room," I said in a 'duh' tone.
"Why?" She asked me. "This could be our chance to escape."
"The door is more than likely locked."
"Well," she said,"it couldn't kill us to try."
"I actually have to disagree with that." She looked at me weird. "You don't actually know the boys yet. I know from experience."
She looked at me. "I'm still trying." She walked to the door and pit her hand on the doorknob. "Ready?" She asked.
"I guess so," I said.
She twisted the knob. It wouldn't turn. She kept trying but it wouldn't budge.
"Ok," she said,"I guess it is locked."
I gave her a look that says 'ya think' or 'duh, I told you'. She shook her head and I kinda chuckled until I looked at the window and my mouth dropped open. It was open. They never leave it open.
