(A/n-I'm gonna start calling Elizabeth "Liza" cause it's easier for me.)
~Zoey's POV~
We finally arrived to school and I can already see Luke's friends waiting for him. And of course, his girlfriend. Oh, did I not mention that in the last chapter. Oops! Well, now you know. (Little background info-Luke and Elizabeth like each other, but Arzaylea doesn't want to give up Luke. So they stayed as a couple, while Elizabeth has to see them together.) I honestly don't like her. Her name is Arzaylea. (I'm not hating on Arzaylea. It's just Zoey's character. So don't attack me in the comments.) The reason why I don't like her is because she could be so fucking bitchy or whiny sometimes. Like sometimes she could be so nice to you and next thing you know, she's already talking behind your back. Or if Luke doesn't give her attention, she'll whine about it. She also considers being my friend?! I mean...I'm fine with it, but just because you're dating my brother, doesn't mean you HAVE to be my friend. Her friends also consider being my friend. At first it was weird, but I kinda got used to it...I guess.
We got out of the car and walked towards the front of the school. "Hey Lukey," Arz says. "Every time. I swear," I heard Liza say under her breath. I honestly feel sorry for her. I can't see my best friend like this. I have to cheer her up. "Can I talk to you for a minute." I turn around seeing Michael. "Me?" He questioned. I nodded. "Okay." We walked to the side and Liza looked at me weirdly. "What's up?" He said. "I need your help. It's about Luke and Elizabeth." Does he know about them liking each other? "Okay?" He sounded confused. I don't think neither has told anyone that they like each other. Isn't it that obvious? "They haven't told you..have they?" "About what? Zoey, you're getting me confused." Looks like I'm gonna have to tell him.
~Michael's POV~
"About what? Zoey, you're getting me confused." What was she talking about? What about Liza and Luke? Are they secretly dating? There was silence for a couple of seconds until she decided to talk again. "They like each other. I don't know why Luke hasn't told you." They like each other? They as in Luke and Elizabeth? This can't be..no it's just a dream..right? "What?! They can't like each because he's da-" Zoey cut me off. "I know. I know. He's dating Arz. Liza knows and I tell her everyday, but she still doesn't listen." I wonder if Arzayea knows anything about this. Probably not. I look at Zoey in confusion. 'Wow! Zoey's really pretty.' What was my mind saying?! No I can't - I mean yeah she's pretty, but I can't say that about my best friend's sister. That's weird..well not really...but still! "Did you just call me pretty?" She asked. Oh my...did I say that out loud? "Yeah you did!" Okay now I said that out loud too?! I need to stop this. But she's really pretty! What's wrong with me? What am I doing?
~Zoey's POV~
"Wow! Zoey's really pretty." Did Michael just call me pretty!? Okay he hasn't called me pretty before. This is something new about him.. "Did you just call me pretty?" I asked him. He started blushing. "Oh my...did I say that out loud?" He asked. 'Does he know he's not talking in his head right now?' I thought to myself. "Yeah you did!" I said. He started blushing even more..if that was possible. "Anyways...was this all you wanted to talk about?" Okay he's changing the topic. Good. "Yeah. Also, I want to help Elizabeth get Luke out of her mind for a bit. I was wondering if you want to help me?" He thought for a second. "What's in it for me," He said. 'I didn't know he wanted something out of it.' "Umm...well I could-" "Zoey I'm just messing with you! Of course I'll help you." I hate when he does that. "Thanks so much!" I said. "Anytime. Hey we should get going. The others might think we're doing something else!" We walked back to the front of the school to see the gang still there. "Where were you guys?" Calum asked. "We were talking." Michael said. "Sure you guys were!" Ashton responded. Everyone started to laugh. "Whatever," I said under my breath. I guess Michael heard me. "Hey it's okay. You know they play like that." He said. "Thanks Mikey." "Anytime Zoey."
(Blah blah blah...School school school...Work work work! I'm skipping the school part cause it's boring. Later in the book, shit happens during school. But I'm lazy to write about what happens during school right now so ya! Sorry 😂)
~Elizabeth's POV~
It was a pretty shitty day at school. To sum it up for you...work, tests, and seeing Luke and Arzaylea making out every 5 seconds! Why can't Luke let her go? Why isn't that me right now? Why her?? Ugh I really hate her guts. But if it makes Luke happy...then I guess I'm happy too. I'm glad it's Friday though. I don't have to see them making out for two days! It's whatever. I was walking towards my locker to get my things to go home. When I open my locker, I see a note. 'A note?' From who?' I thought to myself. No one was around me so I opened it.
Dear Liza,
You're gonna have to find a ride home today. I have plans with Michael later on. Sorry for the late convenience! But hey, I owe you one. I'll see you tomorrow. Okay? Okay. Love you lots!

Ugh...really!? She's my only ride. Well I did ride with Luke as well today...No what am I thinking! He's probably taking Arzaylea home. Looks like I have to go walking. I got my stuff out of my locker and closed it. I started walking to the front of the school until I hear someone call my name. I turn around to see Luke. Ugh, he has to be here at the wrong time! I turn towards the entrance and starting walking a bit faster. "Elizabeth wait!" I hear him say. I push the doors open and walked down the stairs. Looks like he was still running after me. Once I got to the bottom step, he caught up to me. "Why were you running away from me?" He asked. 'Go away tears...not now!' I said in my mind. "You wanna know why!? Because you're too busy sucking Arzaylea's face off. Why are you even here!? Shouldn't you be with her right now." "Why are you acting like this?" Why am I acting like this!? This is not the real me? "Why do you care? It's not like you're my boyfriend or anything!" I screamed. Oh my..did I just-what the-huh!? Why the fuck would I say that! Luke looked at me with watery eyes. "Luke I'm so sorry I-" He cut me off. "No I understand. You hate me cause I'm going out with Arzaylea." "No Luke I-" He cut me off again. "Liza it's okay. I know I'm not yours but I'm just caring for you." He said softly. Ugh does he have to be cute right now!? "If you need me..you know where I live." He kissed my cheek and headed towards his car. 'What have I done?' I asked myself. I sat down on the stairs and started crying. "Hey what's wrong? Why are you crying?" I heard someone say. "Shitty day today," I said. I looked up to see Calum standing in front of me. "Oh..Calum I didn't know it was you?" I said, wiping my tears away. "It's okay. Anyways, what are you doing here? Don't you usually go with Zoey?" "She had plans with Michael," I said sadly. I thought I was the only one still at school. "I could take you home...if you want." He said. I looked at him. Was he being serious. "Really?" I asked. "Of course." I get to go home and cry more...yay! "C'mon I'll take you home." He said holding his hand out. I grabbed his hand and we started walking towards his car. I thanked him once we got in. "Anything for a friend!" He said smiling. I gave Calum my address and we started heading towards my house.
