I could feel excitement flow throughout my whole body. I think tonight was going to be THE night. As I went into the dorm building, I held my bags tightly in my hands. I tried to not appear suspicious as I held the bottles of alcohol and chasers, but I was feeling pretty giddy without even drinking anything, anyone probably thought I was already gone. Nope, just extremely happy about what should be going on tonight. I patiently waited for the elevator when I sensed the presence of another person next me. We both got in to the elevator being lazy because this elevator only takes you up one floor, where you can then take the other elevator if needed. I went ahead and pushed the button for us.  He was super cute. He had a pale complexion; he seemed to have a very faint Irish back ground with stronger Italian features in him. His hair was short and very dark with a very small quiff in the front. He had hazel eyes and some few freckles grazing his skin giving him a boyish look even though I knew he was older than me. All in all, he was really hot.

"Hey, aren't you that really cute guy from that business diner with the firms the other day?" I blurted out without thinking. I felt like I've seen him somewhere, and more than just seen him walking around since we go to the same school kind of thing.

"Oh you mean at that meet the firms day?" he asked, his voice even sounded hot. Like why?

"Yeah we sat at a table with you, me, another girl, and the firm guy. That's why I recognized you!" I said laughing.

"Ha yeah I remember you, you had a really cute smile." He said making me blush and look at the ground.

The elevator rang and we both exited him letting me out first, "Thanks," I said. I had to go up to the seventh floor so I headed over to the other set of elevators patiently waiting. "Are you going up too?" I asked him kind of really hoping that he was.

"Yeah actually I am," he said smiling back at me.

The small ding of the elevator rang out, and we stepped in.

"What floor?" he asked me.

"The seventh please, thanks." I said. We stood in silence, but I kept sneaking glances at him. He was a very attractive person.

"What did you say your name was" he asked me.

"Oh haha I forgot sorry, I'm V. And you?" I asked back.

"Shawn." He said holding his hand out to me.

As I started to grab on to it, the ground began to shake and then everything jolted to a stop. The movement caused me to lose balance and I fell forwards but was lucky since Shawn managed to catch me in time.

"Oh no we aren't moving!" I was worried. This shouldn't be happening today!

"Calm down don't you worry, we'll be fine okay we can just call for help with the help buttons." I nodded my head at him feeling some relief in this. Shawn went and pushed the help call button but nothing happened. He tried again and still nothing. That was when I noticed that none of the lights for the control system were on...

"Hey uh Shawn?" I said slowly.

"Yeah?" he said turning back to me.

"Uh I think the electricity is off... none of the lights are on anymore." I said pointing to the ones that should have been on.

"OH. Huh would ya look at that. Seems like we have no electricity, that's awkward." He said and then just like that the lights in the elevator went off too...great.

"No problem we have phones right? We can just call for help right?" I said

"Yeah great idea," he said back. We both got our phones out and tried to make calls.
