Okay, so Douglas is J.P but try to picture him more as a jock since that's what J.P is okay? If you don't think of J.P to look like Douglas then totally disregard and keep on dreaming(:

Jojo and I just walked through the doors as everyone started to cheer...we turned to each other and both held looks of confusion. "Uh are we just the life of the party or something??" I spoke.

Jojo laughed as did I, and we walked into the main room were we saw people cheering because someone was doing a keg stand. "OH" we both said out loud, and laughed again.

"I like my answer better." I said out loud.

"Yeah me too," she said. We shook our heads and then were bombarded by our other two best friends Katie and Gabby who gotten there before us.

"Guys come on! It's about to start!" Gabby yelled at us.

I guess I should have let you know we were at a party, and it was also themed, Friend and a Fifth. So you and a friend had to drink a fifth of a handle together. It really shouldn't be the worst thing, but considering I was with Jojo, and we're both really small and light weights we might have a hard time finishing. We all walked into the area where the people of the house were going to explain the rules, I guess they wanted to put a twist on it, who knows.

"Okay okay gather around people!" a guy shouted out, and someone else turned the music down. I took some time to observe the people here, and noticed a few recognizable people, some guys from the soccer team, a few girls from the girls' team, some basketball guys, some seniors and a few others I had no idea of. I shrugged at the sight of everyone and stood next to my girls just ready for the night to begin.

"Okay so as per usual, you must finish the 5th by the end of the night with only your other half. The exception this time is you will be picking your other half randomly! So sorry," he said as some people groaned at this thought, "You will not be with the people you came with! It's going to be a randomly drawn numbers to figure out the pairs. There are two of the same number so you just call out your number and the other person can be like 'me too' or 'same'! So you just find your pair. No switching numbers either! So let's this party started! Also there will be 'stations' in a sense to help every one drink and stay with their partner. Okay so my lovely assistant here, aka my girlfriend, is going to go around with the hat for you to pick a number out obviously." His girlfriend Leila went around passing out the numbers.

I knew Leila because she had been tutoring me in a class last year but she became more a mentor/older sister too me here at school so we've been really close. She's the reason we were even at this party. When she came to me she smiled and squealed. "I didn't know you were coming!! Ugh yes! This is going to be a fun night I'm so excited!" she said as she wrapped her arms around my neck.

I laughed at her but agreed. "Oooh also JP, hasn't taken his eyes off of you since you walked in girl, get it." She said whispering in my ear.

"Leila shut up, there is zero chance of that being true!" I just shook my head at her, but grabbed my number and pushed her along. She winked at me but kept moving. Once everyone grabbed their numbers, the mood in the room became very anxious. I looked at my slip and it read '14'. Cool.

I looked up across the room and saw everyone get ready to find out who they had. There were only 40 people here so that meant 20 different pairs. It was honestly quite exciting.

Everyone started to say their numbers which was fun, but for some reason I got nervous and didn't say mine right away.
"Who has 14?" a voice said out loud. I looked up and saw that it was JP who was asking. Two other girls raised their hands, which was obviously wrong. "Oh really now?" JP asked them smirking, "Let me see your slips," he said trying to figure it out for real.

"I do," I said behind him. He turned around and looked at me.

"Really?" he asked me.

"Yup," I said showing him my slip.

"Sorry ladies, but baby girl here is my true partner, maybe next time." He said as he placed an arm around my shoulders. They both pouted but gave me dirty looks instead.

It's not like I can help which random number I chose, I thought to myself. "So baby girl you got a name?" he asked me.

"Duh everyone has a name," I muttered then put my hand up to my mouth. I never get sassy right away with people! Oh goodness, I thought then looked at up slowly at JP. He was surprised but was smirking nonetheless.

"Wow, firey, I like it." He said laughing at me.

"Sorry, but it's V." I whispered.

"Huh, V that's hot. Names JP." He said smirking.

"Yeah I uh, already know that." I said twirling my hair getting nervous.

"Baby girl, do I make you nervous?" JP said holding me away from him.

"No uh why?" I responded.

"You're twirling your hair and biting your lip." He said tracing his thumb across my lip which made me release it. I didn't even know I was holding it between my teeth. He leaned in a bit, seeming to be intrigued with something but then we were interrupted by my friends and we broke apart immediately.

"V, Jojo needs the alcohol for her duo," Gabby said clearing her throat and speaking.

"Oh yeah sure," I said and handed them the drink.

"Thanks babe!!" Jojo said getting excited to have the drink in her hands now.

"Oh babe? Does that mean you're like together or something?" JP said sounding a bit off guard.

"Nah just our term of endearment," I said shrugging.

"Good, I don't like having competition. Hope you like Fireball because that's our poison for the night." JP said holding up the bottle.

"This is going to be a long night," I said shaking my head. I don't mind fireball, it's not my favorite but I do like it unlike most people.

I looked over at my friend Jo and her partner, she got a guy that I think was a friend of Leila's boyfriend, I think his name was Kenny or something. "Hey Jo? Have you seen Josh?" I asked curiously but also sorta jealous knowing I wasn't his partner and that even if I was it wouldn't be what I wanted. Had a large dwindling crush on him but definitely wasn't getting any reciprocation on his end of things so I was reading the signs and trying to get myself to not feel that way anymore. It was kind of working but that was me just being hopeful.

"I think he's over there with that girl, I think her name is Julie?" She said and pointed over at them.

"Yeah it is Julie, she's a swimmer, real easy on the eyes," Kenny said, sounding like a gross guy comment.

"She's a total bitch though, and never worth the time," JP said leaning in to my ear and whispering it to me. I looked up to him (he's crazy tall) as he pulled away and saw he was being oddly concerning towards me as if he had already realized that I wished to be the girl over there with Josh.

I gave him a genuine smile for his attempt at comforting me. I took another look at Josh and Julie, before realizing that pining for someone wasn't a good look on anyone. If I wanted to get over him I needed to give myself the real chance, he wasn't mine to let go anyways.

"Let's take a drink, shall we?" I asked JP.

"Let's do it," he said smirking at me. He had a pretty cute smirk.

Since we didn't have shot glasses or anything, we decided to just drink from the bottle. The straight alcohol was kind of cringe worthy but not horrible. JP laughed a bit at the face I had made after I drank causing me to laugh along as well.

As the night went on, JP and I talked a bit here and there, main just teasing one another. We had gone through half the bottle at this point, a lot of people were at the same pace as us roughly, a few groups had already called quits.

"Let's play beer pong!" I shouted over to JP. The music had gotten louder and there were a lot more people here now that it was in full swing.
