Deans POV
First day of college and I already hate this place. I unload my impala with what little I have, since I'm planning on getting out of here as soon as possible. The only reason I came was because my pain-in-the-ass brother said I should
take a few courses in college, especially since I didn't have to take care of him anymore. If it were anyone else, I would've slapped them in the face for suggesting such an awful, horrible, TERRIBLE idea. But, it was Sammy, and he knows that I can't say no to him. He's also taking a short break. I'm not sure if he's ever going to hunt again, but i sure hope so, because God knows i need him."102,103,104, AH! 105!" I mutter to myself. I swing open the doors and sling my bag of my shoulders and onto bed towards the door. I look up and see a boy with sex hair and eyes like the bluest ocean staring at me. He looks very confused and alarmed. "*ahem* I'm Dean Winchester, your new roommate." "Umm.. are you sure you're in the right room?" he squeaks out nervously.
"Uhh. 105? Right?"I ask.
He nods. "Then yah Roomy!" I pat him on the back.
"I'm Castiel." He says as he holds out his hands. I take it. I then jump onto the bed and lay down.
"Just so you know, I will probably be leaving soon so you don't have to worry about me staying for too long. And you don't have to worry about me singing in the shower. I ain't about that." I said grinning.
He just stared blankly at me. "Is it bad to sing in the shower" he finally says.
"Uhh. No. Its a joke Cas." I reply.
"Oh, a joke. Right." He acknowledges.
I unpack while he reads. I look over and notice he's reading To Kill A Mockingbird. Something that of course I've never read. He mouths along to the words he's reading and eventually starts muttering under his breath. It's kind of adorable.
----------
For the next few days we don't really talk. I go to some of my classes, and they are all boring as hell. I finally get back to the dorm after a long day of pretending to care. I slip on my cassette player and play ACDC. I see Castiel come in and immediately pull out a school book to study from. "Nerd." I mutter under my breath. "Did you say something?" he asks.
I pull of my headphones so that i can actually hear him. "I said you're a nerd, just like my brother. You would get along well."
"Does he go to this school?" Cas asks.
"No. He's going to Stanford. Smart kid, I'm real proud of him. He's finally doing something different than the family business."
He gives me a pity look and says "You could do something different too you know?"
I chuckle. "I like the family business. I just can't do it without Sam. I want him to have a better life. I just need him."
"Well maybe when you find your soulmate, everything will change. You can finally settle down. or have you already found your soulmate?" he asks. "No. No soulmate. But i know she's nerdy and left handed. Little notes and reminders about homework always show up on my right hand. It's adorable."
Castiel chuckles. " The last thing i got was 2 years ago and it was some chicks phone number. The only thing i know is that my soulmate is a male. He probably doesn't know he's gay or bi since hes hanging out with chicks."
I laugh. Oh he's gay. "That sucks dude. Dont worry. Im sure your life will turn out great. Nerd."
