"Come on baby. You can do it. I did it, and it was really fun." I gulped as I looked at the bungee cord that my boyfriend wanted me to jump from.

"Mike, I don't think this cord will hold me up. I'm too fat for it to hold me up." I said seriously. I mean I do weigh two hundred pounds.

Michael grabbed my face in his hands. "Don't ever put yourself down baby. You are not fat, you just have those curves, that I love and one day I hope to explore them all, but for right you will jump from this bridge and have fun. You deserve it. You are the best woman that anyone can have."

I smiled at him as I took one foot off the edge, here I go.....

I jumped up in bed with my heart going a million miles a minute. Why do I keep having these dreams and flashbacks of the old days? Obviously all those memories were fake, and I shouldn't believe all those fake comments and promises that he had made.

I rubbed my hands across my face and sighed. Life really sucks, and I don't think it is going to get better anytime soon. Of course, I could be totally wrong, but who knows.

I got up from bed and started to get ready for the day. I put on my one piece swimsuit, and then put on shorts and a tank top above it. I pulled my hair up into a rubber band, then grabbed a book, my phone, a towel, and some tanning lotion as I headed into the kitchen. When I got there I had every intent of making me some breakfast when I saw Michael at the table eating and a plate of some pancakes on the bar with a piece of paper that said my name.

Michael looked up at me in shock. "Oh, I didn't think you would be awake yet, so I labeled your breakfast. I'm surprised you're up though. You have always slept late and went to bed early, which now that I think about it you do look a little tired." He then got up and held out a chair for me as I grabbed my plate and sat down right across from him.

"Well I don't sleep as well as I used to. If fact I have trouble sleeping. Also, thanks for the breakfast you didn't have to do that. I would have fixed it."

Michael looked me in the eyes, and I could see a little concern there. "Why haven't you been sleeping, if you don't mind me asking?"

I glared at him. "I just had a bad experience a year ago and I don't really like darkness anymore, so I just don't sleep." I then picked up my fork and ate the delicious pancakes, as I ignored Michael's concerned gaze.

As I was eating I felt my self-drift....

"Babe it's my job to provide for you. Let me cook breakfast and if you don't like then I will never cook again and you can do all the cooking." I frowned at him thinking over his offer.

"Okay, fine, what are you going to make?" I asked him.

"Hmmm...What would you say your favorite breakfast is?" He asked.

I didn't even have to think before I said, "Pancakes."

"Great, I know just how to make pancakes, they are my specialty." I smiled at him seeing as he had a childlike grin on his face from excitement.

He made me go to the living room while he cooked, and I as I waited I couldn't help but imagine how life would be if we ever got married, or even what would happen after we did it for it the first time.

I was shaken out of my thoughts when Michael placed a tray in front of my lap with a plate of pancakes, and some milk.

I looked in his eyes as I put that bite of pancake in my mouth and I swear my whole mouth exploded with heaven. "This is really good." I told him in surprise.
